As Luigi Mangione pleaded not guilty Monday to state murder and terrorism charges in the brazen killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, supporters of the suspect continued to donate tens of thousands of dollars for a defense fund established for him, leaving law enforcement officials worried Mangione is being turned into a martyr.
Several online defense funds have been created for Mangione by anonymous people, including one on the crowdfunding website GiveSendGo that as of Tuesday morning had raised over $200,000.

I always thought these crowd funding sites banned funding campaigns for violent criminals. More hypocriisy.

If there’s precedent for blocking funds for people on the right, then they have to get the lawyers going to block it for a murderer like this one. He and his family must be pretty confident that SOMEONE on a jury will vote against convicting him in leftist New York. Then he’s a leftist hero for life.

They killed funds for defense of people like Officer Derek Chauvin and Kyle Rittenhouse.

GiveSendGo is a Christian crowd funding site which is not hypocritical. They hosted crowdfunding for Kyle Rittenhouse and Gabriel Metcalf.
Kyle is the young man who defended himself during the Kenosha Wisconsin riots. Gabe is the man who is being prosecuted for having a single shot shotgun in a gun free school zone in Billings, Montana.
They do not refuse fundraising for people accused of crimes.
Luigi is a total loony tune. I heard his attorney speak and thought she put zero thought into her remarks; she was stuttering around and sounded stultified, unoriginal, like a TV script. Puhleez. Like she put about five minutes thought into what she had to say.
Anyway, Luigi is totally nuts and will remain in an insane asylum for the dangerously criminally insane for the rest of his days. Luigi killed the CEO for one reason and one reason only IMHO—to make a big splash in the public consciousness and gain a lot of attention. Luigi had no scruples or principles. Luigi is simply an evil person.

Givesendgo has always allowed funds to be raised for legal defense under this really bizarre concept of innocent until proven guilty. GoFundMe pick guilt and innocence, winners and losers, and picks political favorites.
So this fundraiser is consistent with their T&C.

mine wasn’t a “legitimate cause “.

You may not like Mangione but you probably like Kyle Rittenhouse or Daniel Penny and so on.

Shows the utter stupidity of these people. His family is wealthy and most likely paying for his high priced legal team, since they were hired before this money came in. The $200k probably barely paid their retainer.
