Biden Lets California Universities Off the Hook on Antisemitism

The Biden-Harris administration has let five University of California campuses off the hook in a settlement with the Department of Education over antisemitism that erupted after the Hamas terror attack in Israel on October 7, 2023.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported Monday on the settlement, which does little beyond requiring self-reporting:

The Department of Education found that UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, UC Davis and UC Santa Cruz “appear not to have responded promptly or effectively to notice of alleged national origin discrimination, including harassment” against its students and employees.

As part of the settlement, the universities agreed to review complaints from the current and prior academic years to determine if further action is warranted and report the responses to those complaints; gain the department’s approval for changes to discrimination policies; conduct training for employees and public safety officers; and conduct an assessment of discrimination on the campuses and identify next steps.

Valerie Jared or Barack Obama let these universities off. Biden doesn't know if it's Tuesday or July.

Exactly. The radical and hateful ‘transform’ America crowd are likely responsible.

Looking back, it's absolutely amazing that only 7 years after the 9/11 terrorist attacks we elected a man who launched his political career in the home of a terrorist (Ayers) who was (along with his wife) on the FBIs top 10 most wanted list at one time. We elected a man who sat in the pews each week to listen to a preacher who said “Not God bless America. God d**n America”. We elected a man whose background was never significantly vetted by the media, and who publicly stated that he wanted to ‘transform’ America - not protect and serve America.

Think about how New York voters elected to the U.S. Senate Mrs. Clinton - half of the Clinton team that pardoned convicted terrorists who had killed four in the United States.

And how she was later almost elected to the top national office with her horrible record of death and destruction.

Here we go again, folks. The Biden-Harris administration’s handling of antisemitism on college campuses, particularly with the University of California system, is a textbook example of how out of touch our elite institutions have become. Instead of taking decisive action against what seems to be a clear case of discrimination and harassment, they’ve settled for what amounts to a slap on the wrist – self-reporting. This isn’t just lenient; it’s practically an endorsement of inaction.

This approach underscores a broader issue with our academic elite. They’re so insulated in their ivory towers that they fail to see the real-world implications of their inaction. Antisemitism, like any form of discrimination, isn’t something you can just hope goes away with a bit of self-reflection. It requires firm, immediate action, not a pat on the back for the universities to “do better.”

Moreover, this settlement sends a dangerous message: that if you’re an elite institution, you can get away with not protecting your students adequately. It’s a signal to all other colleges that they too might not face real consequences for similar failures. This isn’t just about protecting Jewish students; it’s about upholding the principle that educational institutions must be safe spaces for all, free from discrimination. conservatives are the most oppressed.

Absolutely agree about Hillary. Hillary is emblematic of the political narcissism that has led to the destructive brand of ‘celebrity’ politicians who aspired to office to ‘be somebody’ rather than to serve. The media is also filled with people who wanted to ‘be somebody’, and they formed a coalition with the ‘wanna be somebody’ office holders - each contributing to the fulfillment of the other’s narcissistic needs. It’s the ‘do you know who I am?’ paradigm on steroids. I’m hoping that the vast majority of Americans are done with these types of people.

This is the way America's governor and the Florida legislature handled the problem.

Horrific. Hopefully the private lawsuits will continue. This need a full airing, not a cover up.
