A sleeping subway rider burned to death on an F train in Coney Island Sunday morning after a madman threw a lit match onto her causing her to burst into flames police sources said.
NYPD officers responded to reports of a fire just before 7:30 a.m. at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station and found the woman engulfed in fire while sitting on an idling F train, police told The Post.
Investigators believe that the woman was sleeping when a man sitting across from her got up, walked by her and threw a match on her, engulfing her in fire, sources said.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, then fled the station, the sources added.
Police extinguished the fire and EMS declared the woman dead at the scene, police said.
She was found with liquor bottles surrounding her, though it was not immediately clear if they played any part in the fire, sources said.

The victim must have already been soaked in alcohol or he poured a flammable liquid onto her. A person doesn't usually go up in flames just from a tossed match.
Most people drink alcohol. Very few pour it all over themselves instead.

Thankfully, nobody did anything about it as soon as it happened, thereby saving her life. Can’t have any more Daniel Penny types around, helping people who need it. I hope there’s some video and they find the murderer, and that something actually happens to him.

This is why they want to get us out of personal vehicles and onto “public transportation” instead.
The poor disadvantaged criminals have a hard time burning us alive when we are in our cars.

After the hell Daniel Penny went through, who on a New York subway is going to be quick to try to stop an attacking lunatic?
And remember, even though Penny was cleared of criminal wrongdoing he’s still vulnerable to a civil lawsuit.
