A man faces multiple charges after he allegedly filmed himself spraying bug killer on food products at a Walmart Supercenter in Mesa.
Police arrested 27-year-old Charles Smith on Saturday in connection with the incident that happened on Thursday at the megastore at Stapley Drive and Baseline Road.
Mesa police said they found out about the video showing the items getting sprayed on Friday.
Police said Smith entered the store with plans to film social media pranks, but he instead grabbed a can of Hot Shot Ultra Bed Bug and Flea Killer without paying for the item.

more black on white crime?
Charge him with attempted murder.
“Charles Smith”
____________
He sure does not look like a Charles Smith, but no telling how he got that identity.
How did you know?
How many items, separately purchasable, could his spray have possibly touched? Charge him with that many counts of attempted murder. Sentences to serve consecutively.
Looks like he finally FAFO a little too far with his bug spray stunt.
Hope he spends a long time in prison.
That is now considered a terrorist act. He could be facing life in prison.
“Police arrested 27-year-old Charles Smith...”
What’s his wrapper name? I assumed he did that stunt to sell albums, or at least get his name out there. But “Charles Smith” won’t go anywhere - the dude needs a name like Dursban-For-the-Win or something.
Does this clown know about the Tylenol tampering? He’s in big trouble doing this.
A Michigan supermarket was the scene of a young man who quietly sprayed liquid rat poison on the salad and food bar items at more than one supermarket including a Whole Foods over several days.
No one was sure what the sick victims had in common for a few days. Finally was seen on cameras but only after shoppers went to the ER and almost died.

The ending——he was allowed to be in the home based custody of his mother who would assure the authorities her son was going to talk with a psychiatrist regularly to stay out of prison.

I am shocked he neglected to use the still produced Black Flag brand. Must have been subliminally influenced by our racist society to choose a different brand.
Scene at the arrest.
Cops holding back an angry cop:
“Hot Shot? Hot Shot? I’ll show you a hot shot.” (disarmed after trying to unholster his weapon).
“C’mon, Ken. This man will get his full rights, his lawyers, his chance to have evidence and his confession withheld from the jurors and will have ten years of appeals before being let go. Settle down.”
He had a psychic message, first a murky one, thinking it was a Trobriand Islanders before getting the clear one.🔮🏝️☁️
Color me surprised!
This is not a “prank.”
He really needs to go to prison for life without parole, IMO. It was not a prank; his view of is as that is infantile. Driven by money - TikTok, et al advertising money and greed. The more outrageous, the more money. He said it himself by saying he could make $10K or more on a ‘prank’ like that.
In reality, it was attempted killing of unsuspecting consumers who might die from the poison Walmart might not be able to keep out of goods they sell consumers. Spraying just a little part of the produce section and cooked meats means the WHOLE section (and adjacents) have to be trashed and everything scrubbed. A fantastic cost to them, and a loss to consumers. And this shit would have made thousands off the ‘prank.’
PRISON. LIFE in PRISON. People that stupid just don’t need to be out on the street. Ever.
Attempted murder
Ya gotta wonder just how often that crap happens- I remember back to the Tylenol poisoning case where some maggot poisoned Tylenol and put it on shelvesz- that was back when I beleive the tamper proof requirements came out shortly after- folks were really nervous about buying anything from grocery stores for awhile. It a as also, right zround that time that maggots were lacing candy for Halloween and shoving razors and other sharp stuff in the candy too- parents were nervous about bringing their kids to homes of folks they didn’t know because of it.
The fella in the article should be facing attempted murder charges for sure- but then again Biden will probably pardon him before he leaves office
