The House Ethics Committee secretly voted to release the findings of its investigation of sexual misconduct allegations against former Rep. Matt Gaetz, according to a new report.
Gaetz (R-Fla.) resigned from Congress on Nov. 13 when President-elect Donald Trump announced him as his pick for attorney general — before Gaetz withdrew eight days later due to Senate Republican concerns about those allegations.
The Republican-led Ethics Committee’s secret vote occurred sometime in December, CNN first reported Wednesday, and the document is expected to be released sometime before the end of the month.
The panel’s spokespeople did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
House Republicans previously blocked release of the report, with the Ethics Committee voting last month along party lines not to release it.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) argued at the time that it would be wrong to do so following Gaetz’s departure from Congress.
Gaetz, 42, is now working as a host at the One America News Network.

They no longer have jurisdiction over Gaetz
Their vote was secret- contradicting their claim of transparency
There was no right to confront witnesses and therefore unjust
There was no right to present witnesses which again is unjust
This is designed to destroy Gaetz without any consequence to the Committee members [Speech or Debate Clause Art I, Section 6]
“Alleged” does not mean “proven,” but the antique, shrinking, fake news media will pretend that it does.
If they are going to play this game, I would like to see which congress members used the congressional slush fund to pay off people with sexual allegations.
Downside... hard to say there was a downside. Gaetz, as much as I appreciate the guy, is toast, in terms of elective office.
Upside - now the archives of the House Ethics Committee can be scoured and all partially completed investigation documents from the past can be published.
EVIL is as EVIL does! Our nation has become a cesspool of EVIL doers.

Another fake Russian dossier, this time paid for by the American taxpayer.
Secret vote = Assume they all voted for it and punish them accordingly. This is utterly unethical behavior from an ethics committee and all of them should be reprimanded and removed from all committee assignments.
Release the hush money files.
Gaetz’s reply about this on twitter was spot on.
“The >REPUBLICAN<-led Ethics Committee”.
Please take note all you hardliners who vote for the Establishment GOP without question.
They laugh and spit in your lowly faces and don’t appreciate you one bit.
The Ethnics Committee is Unethical:

You are correct.
That would be one Mike Johnson, Speaker and betrayer of the American People who could take those actions. I am also wondering the names of all members of the committee. I know a Democrat wanted to publish this report a few weeks ago. What deal did Mikey make in the CR to let her do it????
Looks like they're giving themselves a whopper of a pay raise...

Likely, and a whole lot more. Its so disgusting and discouraging : (
Primary every Republican on the committee. That way we’re sure to get rid of all the bad apples.
That’ll work as long as people refuse to allow Deep State to pick the challengers.
