Poland has become the first EU country to introduce compulsory gun & shooting classes in all its elementary schools
Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Polish state wants to familiarize all kids from a young age with weapons
Patriotism is a key component of the classes

They need to amend their Constitution to allow for a 2nd Amendment.
I had a friend in the army, whose wife was East German, or at least grew up in east Germany before the unification. And she said they used to train the elementary school kids how to use rifles and throw grenades
It’s funny how things just seemed to be cyclical over in Europe and the cycle right now. Seems to be about 100 years.
Now, that is educational. Thumbs up to Poland. They are finally getting on board. This is what the people in the country, all over the USA, have been doing for 250 years. Got to love it.
They are heading in that direction. They are looking at what happened in Ukraine and deciding they may want to prepare ahead of time instead of after the invasion.
They’re moving incrementally, as that’s really the only way this sort of thing gets done.
bttt
We used to have fairly widespread firearms and shooting sports classes in high schools. We need to restore these helpful classes.
Yes, especially in the USA with second amendment rights.
Poland is one of the very few European countries that still has a spine. If only the others were more like Poland.
I used to take my hunting rifle to school so I could go hunting afterward. No riot police, no panic, just drop it off at the principals office and pick it up after school.
Not in my schools. But in summer camp, we were given .22 rifles to fire at paper targets, hanging on hay bales. Off in the corner, with no adults watching over us.
Sounds pretty good.
The kids today often get no practical skills at all in high school. It’s a tragedy for them (snd our country).
Yes. So many schools today give the students no practical skills at all. Wouldn’t have believed this could ever happen — it’s a disaster
The courts need to read AND FOLLOW thee US Constitution. That we have so many wayward judges is a major cause of the disrespect —- COMTEMPT — so many Americans have for the law (and courts and lawyers and police) today.
Nicely done!!
does that include their growing population of muslim immigrants?
GREAT! There was a pistol range (and classes) at my high school in the early ‘60s.
My high school had a .22 rifle range in the basement. Guys routinely drove pickups to school with their deer rifles in the gun rack, no problem. Different time.
