Boeing's delivery delays are hurting President-elect Donald Trump's dreams of flying on a new Air Force One jet.

The project to build two new jets is so behind schedule that Boeing has told the US Air Force it expects to deliver the planes in 2029 or later, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter. This means the planes may be ready only after the conclusion of Trump's second term.

In 2015, the Air Force chose Boeing to build two new planes to replace its aging 747 presidential fleet. In 2018, the planemaker and the Trump Administration agreed to pay $3.9 billion for the planes.

President Trump will be much safer if he uses his own plane and not the DEI/Trump haters plane.

I’d bet that an older plane made when Boeing was competent would be safer than a brand-new plane made by DEI Boeing.

WOW, 10 years to make a plan; 2018 to 2028.

Stop hauling around the press and other non-essential people and get a smaller plane. Make them get their own ride.

Uh, it hasn't been long since the likes of Yahoo were telling us that if Trump gets back in office that he would be a Nazi dictator for life.

I get what you’re saying, but the actual aircraft used as AF1 have a huge array of defensive measures built in, as well as all kinds of CandC technology, and special high-output engines not available on the civilian market. It really is a flying White House with unlimited linger time. Trump’s personal aircraft is nice, but it’s a glorified passenger aircraft.

An outrage when Biden was VP, crackhead Hunter was riding scot-free, mooching off
the taxpayers, while he pedaled his father’s influence to our adversaries for big bucks.

Not necessary a bad thing.

Given the alarming level of TDS in this country, they’d probably outfit one of those 737 Max models that were falling out if the sky a few years ago,

Trump selected the new colors, but I seem to recall that Joe reversed that decision. But if this report is true, then Trump and reissue the color directive.
