I have full confidence that Trump will work his magic and lower grocery prices.

NO ONE can control bird flu & the loss of MILLIONS of laying hens.

Takes weeks for new hens to be producing eggs.

Doing anything about the liberal war on energy would help.

A more expansive energy policy will lower food prices some, but they won’t go down to 2019 levels. Too much printy-money in the economy.

If he can bring fuel prices down, that should help, since those costs are accumulated at each processing step of farming to grocery store shelves and coolers.

No it won’t. Break up the middleman monopolies. The middle men are the problem with price fixing and gouging. Only a few megacorporations now own all the middleman supply and they are crooked.

Lowering prices is rare and tough. It can be done, like the way he caused the price of gasoline to go down deeply by increasing production.

Lowering food prices can only happen by massively lowering fuel prices, and stopping the “whole of government” jihad against farmers, ranchers, fishermen etc so production is set free.

But he would need to grab the FDA, the USDA, the EPA, and a dozen other agencies by the throat and stop their depredations.

We'll hear about the Biden administration ordering the destruction of next year's crops and government stored foods in the next couple of weeks.

After all, the new sanctions on Russia are going to jack up the price of oil, and we'll have to repurchase new steel wall segments after giving them away for 5 bucks for 160 feet of wall.

It will come down but won’t happen overnight. Expect noticeable improvement by late spring.

After kamaLOL! lost the election, Biden’s handlers felt safe to implement more sanctions on Russian oil, thus raising prices for us here in the US, too.

Couldn’t risk the oil price rise while they could still steal the election...

It’s just a fact of life prices won’t come down much, if they do. They’ll likely go higher. At this point, I think Trump should triage the economy: get Federal spending and “foreign aid” under control; secure the border and toss out the illegals—hardened and violent criminals first; remove crippling regulations and let business thrive in the US. Create the conditions that will encourage honest, hardworking, and productive people to get our economy going again. No more falling for BS “scamdemics” and other artificial “crises.”

All we can do is to have the economy expand at 2% per year. With low inflation.

Eventually, we will have greater purchasing power.

All Trump can do is good policies to heal the economy. It takes time to undo 4 years of poor policy decisions.

If oil prices can be brought much lower, production and shipping costs will drop. Then, it’s up to mfgrs and suppliers to drop their prices back down. A lot of links in that whole food chain have to go right.

Just bring gas and diesel prices down...cheaper to plow ground, plant seeds, spray crops, fertilize crops, irrigate crops, harvest crops, dry grains, transport food, process food, and deliver food to retail. People have no clue how much fossil fuel goes into food production. All urea fertilizers (nitrogen) originate from natural gas.

The “Green New Crapola Deal” is a MAJOR cause of inflation (as is the out of control fiat money supply).

I trust Trump completely...In my heart I know that they (he and his team) are going to go through this government and blow it up by cutting, eliminating, firing, and reforming it. I'm not going to whine about grocery prices on January 21.

Like others have said, if he can get a handle on energy costs and we drill, drill, drill, the rest will fall in place.
