I agree with RFK Jr...They Pharm companies want everyone on a drug.
Ozempic.
Me too. Lose weight by not shoving so much crap down your throat and go for a 30 minute walk a few times a week.
Why do we need a drug for everything? Promote healthy lifestyles and improve our food supply.
How about pitching get off your butt and move, stop over-eating, put your phone and game controller down...
Beat me to it. Totally agree.
‘The people’ want Doritos and Coke laced with Ozempic.
Ozempic scares the heck out of me. My RN sister in law is totally addicted to it. She acts differently and actually looks different. Addiction is never a good thing.
Meanwhile, I am suspicious of RFK Jr.’s many years working with “For The People” Morgan & Morgan. John Morgan, the alcoholic, spent a tremendous amount of litigation award money promoting recreational cannabis in Florida. Meanwhile, auto insurance, homeowners insurance and medical malpractice insurance rates are astronomical due to the likes of Morgan & Morgan.
Be that as it may, promoting a drug that is now said to have permanent effects is not good and is not in any way responsible.
Wait until the MSM start comparing this to the German fitness movement of the ‘30s.
The best two weight loss drugs on the market are called Eatlessdomore and Getoffyouass.
"I did very, very poorly in school, until I started doing narcotics," Kennedy,
70, said on the podcast. "Then I went to the top of my class because my mind
was so restless and turbulent and I could not sit still.""It worked for me," he continued of his past heroin use. "And if it still worked,
I'd still be doing it."
There was also a flurry of reports this summer and fall about the cardiovascular benefits of GLP drugs.
“The key cardiovascular benefit trial for Ozempic (semaglutide) is called the “SELECT” study, which demonstrated that Ozempic significantly reduces the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in people with overweight or obesity and established cardiovascular disease, even if they do not have diabetes, showing a roughly 20% reduction in risk of heart attack, stroke, or cardiovascular death compared to placebo;”
Are you able to cite a source reference for your assertion?
I agree.
I recall reading about those studies. Anecdotally, the dozen or so people I know who use GLP-1 meds have had remarkable success lowering their blood sugar long term, and weight loss, which has reduced or eliminated the need for additional DM2 meds. In turn, their weight loss has reduced the need for blood pressure meds.
Go for a walk and stop being a pig. No more soda no more gallons of juice stop being a hog. EXERCISE!
