Oakland police had a very busy Sunday morning, responding to multiple sideshows, shootings, and a mob of people ransacking a gas station.
This comes as the city is looking to shrink the police force and balance the budget.
"It happens all the time, you hear gunshots," complained Oakland resident Debra Harper, who was not surprised by the Sunday incidents. "This is every weekend. Every single weekend, they do donuts out here, they fight."

"All night long, we were chasing around, trying to deal with it. At one point, a police vehicle was damaged during that. There was also two gunshot victims that were struck by gunfire from the sideshow," said Sgt. Timothy Dolan, vice president of the Oakland Police Officers' Association.
Sgt. Dolan said the two gunshot victims were listed in stable condition.
At 2:30 a.m., a mob of roughly 50 people broke in and ransacked the Coliseum Shell gas station on Hegenberger Road. The gas station owner, Sanjiv Patel, said the clerk who was working alone feared for his life.
"He reached inside the restroom and he locked himself in the restroom and turned off the lights," said Patel.
Patel believed the robbers were probably some of the same people who were doing the sideshows. Police were still investigating that possible connection. Patel said the mob took all the cash, cigarettes, scratcher tickets, and most of the merchandise.
He estimated the loss and damage to be around $50,000.

Because of a major budget deficit, the city is planning to cut police funding and cancel two academies. That would shrink the already understaffed police force down to 600 officers. Currently, OPD has about 675 officers, according to the police union. The police department is not alone, all city departments will likely see significant cuts to prevent bankruptcy.

Oakland: “We’re losing businesses and the associated tax money due in part to our high crime levels. What should we do? I know, let’s reduce the number of LEOs in the city!”
“Crime is out of control! We don’t have enough police to maintain order! What should we do?”
“I know! Cut the police force! Cancel the police academies. Call out the social workers. Let them know that Black Lives DO Matter!”

Oakland voted for it. Everyone I have ever met from Oakland is an insane marxist.
I still believe if prison sentences involved hard labor, not body building and surfing the net, people would be much less likely to engage in criminal activities.

What’s a sideshow? Is the circus in town? Is Sideshow Bob part of the act?
The purpose of police is to protect the citizen. Less police, less protection. Less police grows the criminal population. When the criminal population reaches critical mass, a chain reaction erupts causing so much damage, the cost of maintaining an adequate police force will look like a bargain.
It’s all part of a strategy to nationalize the police force, so they can be stocked with non-nationals, who will support the Democrat government against the people.
This is right out of the Nazi playbook.

A good start would be to freeze the pensions from all the elected political trash for the last 20 years.
Not me. Although technically I was only born there (1952). We lived in Milbre until I was 3 and then moved east.
I joked to a liberal cousin in law that I was the last white person born in Oakland. Dead silence ensued. ha ha

It’s actually worse than that. They defunded the police, crime skyrocketed, the tax base left, the voters belatedly realized that they’d screwed up and recalled the soft on crime Soros DA and their soft on crime mayor. Now they want more police, but their tax base is so destroyed they have no choice but to make further cuts.
That’s why they call it that. Basically huge street parties with drugs, alcohol, blocking major intersections and then doing doughnuts in cars in the middle of the intersection with cars and putting on shoes like that.
It was to me as well but now I know. Young assclowns(as opposed to us old assclowns) block off an intersection from all directions and do some drifting and donut tire burnouts. Hundreds of doers and lookers at a time. Usually in the evenings.
