After Hunter Biden pardon, Trump vows to pardon many Jan. 6 protesters

(The Center Square) – President Joe Biden’s controversial pardon of his son Hunter may give President-elect Donald Trump a blank check to issue his own round of pardons upon taking office.

Trump said as much in an interview aired Sunday on NBC's Meet the Press when he vowed to pardon a number of people convicted in connection to the storming of the U.S. Capitol on Jan.. 6, 2021, saying he'd look at each case individually.

“These people are living in hell,” he told NBC's Kristen Welker, noting that some had been in jail for three years and promising pardons on Day 1 in office.

More than 1,500 individuals were charged in connection with the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol.

“Does the Pardon given by Joe to Hunter include the J-6 Hostages, who have now been imprisoned for years?” Trump said in a statement last week. “Such an abuse and miscarriage of Justice!”

I hope he pardons them all since every one suffered from abuse of their Constitutional rights, and either biased judges, stacked juries, and double standards of prosecution in D.C. However, I'll accept a "Day One Pardon" of as many as possible.

He allowed himself to be interviewed by Welker? Welker is Jezebel personified.

We can thank Brandon for making this possible. That doesn’t mean that Biden nor Hunter nor the rest of the crime family is off the hook. Hunter will surely become embroiled in another set of crimes, and investigations will proceed apace.

Trump should require members of the Secret Service to report any evidence of criminal activity to the FBI by a protectee. If the Biden’s have a problem with that, then they can waive SS protection, which will save taxpayer money. Win win.

Every last one should be pardoned. They should have been pre-emptively pardoned, just as FJB has pre-emptively pardoned his sone for any federal crime he might have committed between January 2014 and December 2024. These J6 prisoners are political prisoners.

Dang! What a great idea! Once Trump has picked his SS Director, we should pass that suggestion on to him.

Biden excused any backlash he might face by the pardon of Hunter,
falsely claiming his son was “selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted.”

However, his corrupt son wasn’t unfairly targeted.

Hunter broke the law— plain and simple.
<><>He was caught making false statements while purchasing a firearm,
<><>he provided inaccurate information that is required to be kept by a federally licensed gun dealer,
<><>and he illegally possessed a firearm despite knowingly being addicted to drugs.
<><>He pled guilty—admitting not paying federal income taxes on over $1.5M in 2017 and 2018
<><>this was money he earned through shady overseas business dealings.

Hunter’s pardon protected Biden himself from accountability for the Biden Crime
Family’s corruption, undermining the safety and secuity of American
families, by pedaling Biden’s influence to foreign adersaries needing a favor.

He needs to do a blanket pardon on all of them. The time they have served is beyond any punishment on the books for criminal trespass. Which is the worst any of them are guilty of.

Pardon ALL of them!

And prosecute all who subjected Jan 6 prisoners to such harsh conditions!

This is the reason I voted for Trump. Investigate Michael Byrd and put Tim Ryan (D-OH) on notice that we know he was involved with the cover up of the murder of Ashley Babbit

I imagine that they had a friendly exchange before the interview with Welker promising no “gotcha” questions. She doesn’t have a lot to be gained post-election.

They should all be pardoned fully on Day 1. At the same time, those responsible for this blatant mass political prosecution and mass torture campaign should be indicted and tried and convicted. These innocents have already served longer than any Democrat who has actively done treason against the nation, and there are many, and these people were acting as patriots simply assembling to support honest elections. If Trump does not pardon all these people immediately he will be guilty of forsaking his base, his word and the country.

<>Hunter will surely become embroiled in another set of crimes<>

Guaranteed.

Per Miranda Devine’s “Laptop From Hell,” Hunter always sees himself as a victim. NOTHING that befalls him is his fault.

Except for Ray Epps. In fact, he needs to be further investigated and prosecuted to the full extent.

All J6s that did not participate in violence and destruction should get an immediate pardon. Those that did should get a commuted sentence to time served. Provocateurs, they did not go to jail, should be prosecuted unless they turn states evidence. That will get some FBI agents.

A low life like Hunter Biden would not fall on his sword to protect his father. He would talk loud and clear before going to jail. Joe had no choice except to pardon Hunter.

"President Joe Biden’s controversial pardon of his son Hunter may give President-elect Donald Trump a blank check to issue his own round of pardons upon taking office."

When are the Robert Hur Biden deposition recordings going to be released that reveal Biden is no more mentally competent to issue pardons than he is to stand trial for mishandling classified documents or has been to be President of the United States?
