Gabbard's views on Russia shaped in part by Kremlin propaganda outlet, ex-aides say

Since becoming President-elect Donald Trump's choice for director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard's rosy posture toward Moscow has prompted some Democratic critics to suggest that she could be "compromised," or perhaps even a "Russian asset" -- claims the ex-Hawaii representative and Army officer has forcefully denied.

But former advisers to Gabbard suggest that her views on Russia and its polarizing leader, Vladimir Putin, have been shaped not by some covert intelligence recruitment as far as they know -- but instead by her unorthodox media consumption habits.

Three former aides said Gabbard, who left the Democratic Party in 2022, regularly read and shared articles from the Russian news site RT -- formerly known as Russia Today -- which the U.S. intelligence community characterized in 2017 as "the Kremlin's principal international propaganda outlet."

Alexa Henning, a spokesperson for the Trump transition team, said in a statement to ABC News that “this is false and nothing but a few former, conveniently anonymous, disgruntled staffers.”

“Lt. Col. Gabbard’s views on foreign policy have been shaped by her military service and multiple deployments to war zones where she’s seen the cost of war and who ultimately pays the price,” Henning said.

Several times here I’ve CHALLENGED the Zeepers (Biden Propagandists) to identify an article that is ‘propaganda’ coming from RT. They have NEVER been able to do so, even when I supply the very complex link to them: RT.Com

There are 3 types of articles in RT:
1) Direct reporting on what Putin or others in the Russian government are saying.
2*) Summaries of WESTERN ARTICLES that make the West look incompetent (and ALL of these articles are from ‘mainstream’ Western outlets).
3) Editorials, which are CLEARLY DEFINED, almost always defending Russia’s position on issues, but, again CLEARLY DEFINED.

But, if you REALLY want to see the 25th article regarding Putin’s Skin Cancer, RT is not for you. Likewise if you want to see articles about Russia ‘running out of missiles’, you need ABC or BBC for that, as RT, for some odd reason, doesn’t report that.

*this is the one that really pisses off the Operatives (aka, Zeepers), since there is no way for them to blame RT for the articles.

I commend her for scoping out the opposition’s viewpoint. I force myself to scan around the Sunday morning propaganda shows for the same reason but strictly to keep abreast of the DNC’s evil schemes.

One can also discern who the lead assistant Democrats are from how often they’re invited to those shows. Guess which little bloodthirsty homosexual from South Carolina pops up the most.

There are different types of propaganda, and, like the US mainstream media, RT's approach is story selection, emphasis, and suppression rather than promoting provable untruth. Some years ago, a conservative newspaperman explained to me how this worked in his battles with editors and later with colleagues on his paper's editorial board.

Media bias is seductively easy. All it takes is to write friendly stories about people and facts you like, and then ignore or write hostile stories as to people and facts you don't like. His point was that it required constant journalistic discipline to do anything other than that.

If you want and example of how this works as to Russia, compare the stories in state sanctioned and supported RT with independent Moscow Times. Sadly, under Putin, the news media and the political environment in Russia are tightly controlled. This makes genuinely accurate and unbiased reporting and information from Russia hard to come by.

I hope she makes O6 on her merits and not her position in the federal government. Lindsey Graham had no real leadership duties before being selected for Colonel. He was one of my reservists and did good Captain-level work during his ATs.
