WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden pardoned his son, Hunter, on Sunday night, sparing the younger Biden a possible prison sentence for federal felony gun and tax convictions and reversing his past promises not to use the extraordinary powers of the presidency for the benefit of his family members.
The Democratic president had previously said he would not pardon his son or commute his sentence after his convictions in the two cases in Delaware and California. The move comes weeks before Hunter Biden was set to receive his punishment after his trial conviction in the gun case and guilty plea on tax charges, and less than two months before President-elect Donald Trump is set to return to the White House.

Even if he had determined to not pardon the youngun the boy surely would have or did suggest that he was weak and might spill a lot of beans if questioned about Daddy’s business.

And since Trump said he'd probably pardon Hunter, why did he do it at all?
Hunter will be convicted of more felonies before Trump is out of office. Crooks are like skorpions, it is their nature.

Biden should have waited for Christmas for the pardon—he should have included the Jan 6 people as a thumb in the eye of Nancy Pelosi as well. Maybe Joe knows he may well be ejected from power before Christmas? Maybe he felt it was something-—he was going to have a “Heart Attack” or fall down the steps or have a tragic accident or sudden health problem?
Biden will probably resign this week and let Kamala take over till Jan 20
