Dear monthly credit card donor: If you have not done so already (within the last two weeks), please submit a new monthly credit card pledge. Our old system did not collect the credit card security code, but our new system requires it and will not work without it. We will resume processing credit card monthlies again in about two weeks.

Two things:

1. I understand the thing that broke was credit card donations (including monthlies).

2. PayPal kept working through the outage. My monthly donation goes in the first week of every month via PayPal, and the November 5 donation worked fine. I threw in another $50 on Nov 7 (also via PayPal) to help the FReepathon catch up; it also went through fine.

3. Last I knew, a "quarter" consisted of 3 months, not 4. Or have you discovered a 16-month year? :-)

Yes, we need all credit card monthlies to renew for the new system. Approximately 25 percent of our credit card monthlies renewed for the new system last month and we hope the rest will renew this month. Thanks.
