If President-elect Donald Trump ramps up deportations as promised, he will have a strong ally in Chuck Jenkins, the longtime Republican sheriff of Maryland’s Frederick County.
“I’m willing to support the president 100%,” said Jenkins, 68, gravel-voiced with a gray buzzcut. “I want to do more, within the law.”
That prospect is spreading fear in immigrant circles, advocates say, and drawing mixed views from residents in this growing county, which backed Democrats in the last two presidential elections. But Jenkins, once dubbed among the nation’s 10 toughest immigration sheriffs by Fox News, sees Trump’s imminent return to the White House as a mandate for a more assertive approach.
For local sheriffs who have long talked tough on immigration, their time has come.

I doubt there’s one sheriff in Florida that’s not going to assist in taking out the trash.
I read that article at the WSJ this morning and commented to hubby that the WSJ is really outraged that Sheriffs across this nation may actually enforce the law.
It’s my hope that as Trump and Homon’s deportation plans start to become a reality that illegal aliens will flock to Democrat controlled cities. It will be a race to see if they can get to Denver, Chicago, NY, or Seattle before ICE or one of the Sheriff’s Departments can catch them. Homon can be concentrating on criminals elsewhere before starting to concentrate on “sanctuary” cities.
Once Homon has them corralled in these cities, he can start picking them up one by one. These governor’s and mayors do not have to cooperate, but Homon sounds serious when he says, “If they interfere he is willing to put them in jail”.

US Code, Section 8 and the USSC stipulates that Immigration and Naturalization is strictly under the jurisdiction of the FEDGOV.
For the council persons, mayors, governors, state legislatures, NGO's ... READ THE DAMN CODE! It has been the law under Congress Statute for some time. I believe some of you cry-babies are going feel the wrath of breaking the law.

Pick a good solid legal case against one of these grandstanding local politicians and make an example out of them. Prosecute them to the max. Send them to prison. The rest will get the message I’ll wager.
America has 3500+ independent local police and sheriff forces. There are many conservative, law-and-order sheriffs like this - particularly in rural “red” areas
and THIS is why Obama/Holder created BLM
They were the “street muscle” and impetus for marxists like Obama and their woke DOJ to threaten and control local law enforcement with the threat of top-down, leftist, DC lawfare and prosecution.
Definitely time to support your local conservative sheriff.

Let’s see if I have this correct. The law enforcement agencies in this country have to wait until January 20th to start enforcing the law in a country that is bound by “the rule of law” . . .

Crazy iddnit? Say a county sheriff acted tomorrow. Hypothetical. It would take 50 days to get the paperwork and legal representation for the perp anyway. Then, viola, we hit the ground running come Jan 20th.
