Trump stuns ‘disinformation’ cartel with pro-free speech FCC nominee. ‘I’m pretty f****** scared,’ said one censor…

President Trump is sending shockwaves through the Deep State and the uniparty with his bold cabinet picks. They’re quickly realizing that 2024 won’t be anything like 2016, when so many establishment hacks infiltrated his administration and sabotaged the MAGA agenda. This time, President Trump is choosing America First warriors who are ready to shake things up and turn our crooked government upside down. And his latest pick for FCC chairman has the “disinformation” crowd absolutely panicking.

President Trump has tapped First Amendment champion Brendan Carr for the top FCC spot, and this guy is poised to dismantle the censorship industry with the force of a thousand suns. The disinformation elites are so terrified that one professor admitted he’s ready to pack his bags and flee the country.

This is how we win, folks.

[snip]

President Trump’s FCC Chairman, Brendan Carr, just said he may block George Soros’s acquisition of 200 radio stations.

“Will Soros still be able to acquire those 200 radio stations?”

“There’s a petition for reconsideration pending at the FCC right now, and I want to take a very hard look at that.” – @BrendanCarrFCC to @MariaBartiromo

I don’t think most people realize how destructive it would be for America if Soros gets the power to influence what people hear in their cars while casually driving.

I posted this article just so I could post the tidbit about Soros' purchase of the 200 radio stations possibly being blocked. If Carr does this then I don't care if he does little else over the following four years.

On, and the professors that promote censorship by the government and their surrogates should be scared! They should be so scared that they stop the censorship cartels.

Side note: It's rather amusing to do a search at FR with the phrase "Trump stuns". The search returns are numerous. Trump has set his tasers to "stun" quite a bit over the years.

America needs to coin a new term. Censorship by existence.

She is guilty of censorship by existence merely by just being. She is guilty and must not be.

Trump got elected AGAIN and the wuzzies are all scared to death. What the hell were they up to when they took over America by flooding it with wetbacks? (Illegal aliens of any color and/or nationality that wade around in the Rio Grande sneaking into America.)

Start to look for evidence that they are planning a coup.

Some of his picks are pretty good. Some are just “meh”. Some are terrible.

If you are of the opinion that just like last time he had the Presidency, the deepstate is going to roll out a civilization changing emergency and rely on his naivete control the outcome, I am very worried about his pick at Treasury.

If they intentionally crash the economy, George Soros prodigy - Bessent is the absolute worst person to be in that position.

WIKI

Brendan Thomas Carr (born January 5, 1979) is an American lawyer who has served as a member of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) since 2017. Appointed to the position by Donald Trump, Carr previously served as the agency’s general counsel

In May 2022, Carr called for the Disinformation Governance Board, an advisory board within the Department of Homeland Security, to be shut down, slamming the body as “Orwellian”.

In 2023, Carr criticized the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) broadband funding program, which he argued gave undue preference to fiber.

Carr supports changes to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act and opposes net neutrality protections.

In June 2022, Carr wrote an open letter urging Apple and Google to remove TikTok from their respective app stores, arguing the platform poses a security risk.

He is an opponent of content moderation on digital platforms, saying he would seek to “dismantle the censorship cartel and restore free speech rights.”

In 2023, Carr authored the chapter on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 book, Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise. In the chapter, Carr proposes “reining in Big Tech” as one of the main goals for the FCC.

In office, Carr has been noted for being unusually vocal about public policy issues for a regulatory appointee, accusing House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff of overseeing a “secret and partisan surveillance machine”

Carr was born on January 5, 1979, in Washington, DC. He graduated from Georgetown University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in government. He later attended Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law, where he was an editor of the Catholic University Law Review. He graduated in 2005 with a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude.

In May 2023 President Joe Biden renominated Carr for a new term expiring June 30, 2028 and he was confirmed by the Senate on September 30, 2023.

“I am very worried about his pick at Treasury.”

I think the pick knows a lot about currency weakness.

Tariffs make stuff more expensive. They also give the Democrats dollars to buy more votes. Tariffs don’t stop the flow of goods made by people getting a fourth of American wages and salaries.

An item once imported for $1 and sold for $5 with a 25% tariff can be equally profitably sold at $5.25. The Wall Street elite knows this. Trump and you should know that too.

The motor vehicle business needs to be financially balanced by nation as the US & Canadian auto industry was in my youth.

The US needs to go to a blocked currency like India has. The Russians selling oil to India have been told they can buy Indian goods and services in exchange for that oil.

Recreating manufacturing jobs in Midwestern cities will revive them and help relieve the housing price and homeless problems of US coastal cities.

the tidbit about Soros’ purchase of the 200 radio stations”

Way more than a “tidbit”. Many of the stations are the main Spanish speaking station in large population areas. Which is why Soros went for them. It is very encouraging to see that it’s being looked at.

A forensic financial accounting of The Capitol Hill crowed by the Treasury and Justice departments should clear away a lot of the rot there.

All the Federal judges should be examined too.

"Some of his picks are pretty good. Some are just “meh”. Some are terrible."

How can you possibly know any of that until they've been on the job for at least 3 months?
