Russia Has Stockpile of Oreshnik Missiles, New Arms Serve as Guarantor of Sovereignty - Putin
Sputnik News ^ | 11/22/24 | Ilya Tsyukanov

The Russian president made additional comments on the new Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile system at a meeting in the Kremlin on Friday evening with senior officials from the Ministry of Defense and representatives of the defense industry.

Russia already has a stockpile of Oreshnik missile systems, and a decision on the system's mass production has been made, Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced.

"We will continue these tests, including in combat conditions, depending on the situation and the nature of the security threats that are created for Russia, especially since we already have a stockpile of such systems ready for use," Putin said.

The achievements and pace of development of the Oreshnik system inspire pride and admiration, and developments in the defense sector like the Oreshnik are of vital importance for Russia's security, Putin added.

"The weapons system that was tested yesterday is yet another reliable guarantor of Russia's territorial integrity and sovereignty," the president said. "The creators of the Oreshnik missile system - those who designed and organized the production of this new complex, will certainly be nominated for state awards."

Oreshnik is not a modernization of an older system, according to Putin, but the fruit of the work of Russia's modern-day scientists.

If used in a massive attack against enemy targets, the destructive power of the Oreshnik system is comparable to that of a strategic nuclear weapon, Putin said, emphasizing that no effective countermeasures to the system exist.

"Keeping in mind the great power of this weapon, it will be put into service with the Strategic Missile Forces specifically," Putin said.

"In addition to the Oreshnik system, several systems of this kind are currently in development for further testing in Russia today," Putin said. "Based on the results of testing, these weapons will also go into production.

The territory of Ukraine has zero to do with Russian sovereignty.

“. . . the destructive power of the Oreshnik system is comparable to that of a strategic nuclear weapon, Putin said”

He can't expect to use nuclear weapon equivalents without receiving an equivalent.

I'm hoping he has thought that through. I'm almost sure he has.

NATO started this.
NATO keeps escalating this.

And when Putin responds, NATO acts all outraged and says “He’s crossed the line!”

Europe better watch out or it’s going to get nuked.

The Kursk salient is shrinking fast.
Daily Express US
“A high-ranking but unnamed official from Kyiv’s General Staff informed Reuters that Ukraine has lost over 40 percent of the territory it had gained in Kursk. At the peak of their advance, Ukrainian forces controlled an area of about 531 square miles, which has now shrunk to roughly 309 square miles as per the official.”

Just ratcheting things up a notch in retaliation. I still think dems are hell bent on stopping Trump from becoming president, in hopes that perhaps engaging in a bigger conflict may derail or delay him from taking the office.

NATO has no way to deal with this. The missile separates far above and away from THAAD and drops tungsten rods. You can clearly see that from their penetration and lack of explosion. They can wreck a base with one or two missiles. Not only that, but the kinetic unff of that much force hitting in 5-6 kinetic heads at once means even roads not hit will crack along the with walls and floors.

I think NATO thought they had a plan but now theyre at a loss.

He also closed down the U.S. space program, depending on Russia for all human launches. Thank God for SpaceX.

He's still not in the White House, and not necessarily safe from these demons. Include Donald John Trump in your prayers every single day.

Can you provide a source for further research on this? Thank you.

He cannot preempt a nuclear attack that is not going to occur. If he strikes first it will not be preemption since he cannot eliminate a relatalitory strike. If he strikes Ukraine with a nuke, NATO or the US will respond. They have no choice. Putin cannot be allowed to use the threat of nuke to enable his pillaging. If he is allowed then there is no logical stopping point. He can take any country he wants so long as he threatens a nuke attack.

So long as he is attacking Ukraine any attack on his supply lines is justified. Any threat to Russia ends when he leaves.

Why he hasn’t used nukes is because he knows this could escalate quickly into nuclear armageddon. What we really need is an Armistice and have the conflict frozen so the issues can be discussed through diplomacy and hopefully resolved without more violence or additional risks or escalation.

I don't recall NATO invading Russia? I don't remember NATO hitting Russian civilian infrastructure? I don't recall NATO launching hypersonic "unstoppable" missiles into Russia?

NATO hasn't done any of that, much less done it before Russia did..

I don't recall NATO invading Russia?

Many of the weapons systems and financial support to The Ukraine are directly from NATO Nation members with a wink and a nod from NATO.

I don't recall The Ukraine being a part of NATO. I DO recall NATO's charter to be one of a defensive organization of its member states. I also recall NATO has violated that charter several times now (Serbia, Libya and now The Ukraine). I'm hoping I live long enough to respond to any question regarding NATO with..."WTH is NATO? I don't recall this NATO thing you speak of."
