Just 17.9 percent of U.S. adults have gotten a COVID-19 vaccine, and 34.7 percent have received an influenza vaccine during the 2024-25 respiratory disease season, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The report, published Thursday, notes that 35 percent of adults are open to receiving an influenza vaccine, 41 percent are willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine and 40 percent are open to getting a vaccine for RSV.

I have no science at all, all I have is anecdote, but the number of people I have known in the past few years who got aggressive cancer is through the roof.
And I work with a guy who just got both the flu and the COVID vaccines at the same time — he’s been tremendously sick ever since. But he’s the kind of guy who finds it all mysterious — he should be protected! How can he be sick?? It’s just the darndest thing.
My wife, my mother in law, my daughter, and their cicle of distant friends. All multiple vaxxed, even when clotting illnes occured. Because they read NYTimes listen to NPR, and watch CNN.
My excuse, accurate, is that i had two Moderna doses to begin with, because i was foolish, and have long covid effects three years so i don’t care anymore.
I guess I’m a bit bitter. My niece got her breast cancer back with a vengeance after 14 years.
I’m really angry at the pharmy and FDA for their complete abandonment of principles of science & professional responsibility not at the people who believed the lies.
My very smart MD, who didn’t go to med school in the USA where those schools are funded by pharmaceutical companies, said I didn’t need a clot shot.
The other 80% died.
I think the word is getting out that vaccines can kill, all of them!
The same ones who voted for harris.
