Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) said he is “not surprised” President-elect Trump has not named him for a position in his new administration.
Donalds joined CNN’s “Laura Coates Live” on Wednesday evening and was asked if he was surprised he’d not been chosen as one of Trump’s senior staff or Cabinet positions.
“All I will say is I am not surprised that I have not been named, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to do other things in the future,” Donalds said.

Byron Donalds for Rubio’s Senate seat.
Too small a majority in congress
He should be speaker. The rats could very well take the house in ‘26 with Hakim Jeffries as their speaker. We gotta for the first time say our blacks are better than theirs.
If Jefferies wins out they’ll continue with the race baiting.
Donalds is needed in the House. He’s a young guy destined for great things, but for now, he should stay where he is.
Bravo!
did lara trump withdraw her name?
Future Governor I hope, as a Floridian.
...because of his past, lots of RINO senaturds won’t confirm him.
Bringing in a new executive branch heads and new regulations won’t stop one lawyer and one leftist/RINO judge from reinstating the Biden regulations.
Laws have to be changed in Congress.
Regulations have to be changed via Congress.
Republican majorities in the House and Senate must be preserved, not frittered away like Sessions’ Senate seat was.
He’d be wasted in that position. I’d hope to see him as speaker some day.
Trump needs to stop pulling folks from the Senate and House. Our majority is far too thin. There are many well-qualified non-politicians in WDC that would love to drop the hammer on the left by taking a high position.
