Here's Some News That Will Make Anti-Gunners Sad
Red State ^ | 11/18/24 | Jeff Charles

As I’ve said numerous times over recent years, the tide is turning in the battle over gun rights as it becomes more apparent that anti-gunner propaganda isn’t working as effectively as it has in the past.A new Gallup poll reveals some positive findings for gun rights advocates, showing that the anti-gunner lobby is failing to convince people to abandon their Second Amendment rights. Support for banning handguns has fallen to a near-record low while the percentage of Americans supporting assault weapons bans has remained stagnant.

A majority of Americans (56 percent) still favor stricter laws for gun sales, a figure that has remained unchanged over recent years despite how fervently anti-gunners have exploited mass shootings to push their agenda. "Calls for tougher gun control have generally spiked in the wake of prominent mass shootings and fallen as the media coverage of each has faded,” Gallup noted.

The poll showed that support for banning handguns has plummeted significantly.

In fact, the 20% of U.S. adults who would favor a law banning the possession of handguns, except by the police and other authorized persons, is down seven percentage points from last year and statistically tied with the 19% record low in the 65-year trend.

The harder the left works to take away our Second Amendment rights, the more people there are who are willing to say "No".

Especially when it comes to self defense and all the criminals and gang members they are bringing in to our country. Women and minority groups are two of the fastest growing segments of first-time gun owners.

That’s why I applaud them throwing a hissy fit and leaving X for BlueSky. They won’t learn their lesson and the are going to double down on stupid. Rather than take stock of why they are so unappealing, they are going to go full retard.

They have retreated to their bluesky bubble where they are celebrating there is no Musk, no conservatives, and no Trump supporters. They no longer have to hear anything that goes against their preferred narrative. Listening to only those in their bubble is how the left lost the recent election.

It makes me want to go by an AR-10, but with Joey’s economy I can’t afford it.

The lies we have been told over the years...
1962 We ONLY want to register handguns. Rifles will not be affected!
1964, We ONLY want to register ALL firearms, not ban them.
1968 We ONLY want to register all guns, and ban the import of foreign Saturday Night Specials, and 5-shot bolt action army surplus rifles! (they got the ban).
1970, We ONLY want to ban small American handguns. Rifles will not be affected!
1976 We ONLY want to ban ALL handguns! Rifles will not be affected!
1981, Actress Lee Grant on Good Morning America (ABC) screams...”THE NRA IS A RIFLE ORGANIZATION! THEY SHOULD GIVE UP THEIR HANDGUNS AND THEY CAN KEEP THEIR RIFLES!”
1984, they came for the rifles.
1988,Josh Sugarmann, of the National Council to Ban Handguns tells how to ban rifles.

“Assault weapons’ menacing looks, coupled with the public’s confusion over
fully-automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons
—anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine
gun— can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on
these weapons.”
– Josh Sugarmann
Gun owners now know that any time we negotiate with those who want to ban guns, we are up against a stacked deck.

From 1976. How they plan to ban your firearms, one step at a time.

Nelson T. ‘Pete’ Shields
Founder of Handgun Control, Inc.(Now the Brady Center)

“I’m convinced that we have to have federal legislation to build on. We’re going to have to take one step at a time, and the first step is necessarily — given the political realities — going to be very modest.

Of course, it’s true that politicians will then go home and say, ‘This is a great law. The problem is solved.’ And it’s also true that such statements will tend to defuse the gun-control issue for a time.

So then we’ll have to strengthen that law, and then again to strengthen that law, and maybe again and again. Right now, though, we’d be satisfied not with half a loaf but with a slice. Our ultimate goal — total control of handguns in the United States — is going to take time.

My estimate is from seven to ten years. The problem is to slow down the increasing number of handguns sold in this country. The second problem is to get them all registered. And the final problem is to make the possession of all handguns and all handgun ammunition — except for the military, policemen, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors — TOTALLY ILLEGAL.”

-Pete Shields, Chairman and founder, Handgun Control Inc., “A Reporter At Large: Handguns,” The New Yorker, July 26, 1976, 57-58

“Yes, I’m for an outright ban [on handguns].”(Now rifles added)

-Pete Shields, Chairman emeritus, Handgun Control, Inc., 60 Minutes interview

HCI, around 1984, suddenly made a grab for the semi-auto rifles and shotguns, and missed But they showed their hand. As a result all gun owners know we are always up against a stacked deck.

Because commie trash always are trying to out-do one another. That is how you can easily tell facts/truth are not involved. If the goal posts are always moving it has never been anything but virtue signaling.

I would really like to see national reciprocity. I could be wrong, but I think that would inevitably lead to a Supreme Court case that would get rid of all gun control. Example — MA says a magazine cannot hold more than 10 rounds. If someone from AZ enters MA will a high capacity magazine, that’s legal for them in their state, but not in MA? How much “reciprocity” are we talking about? I think this would have to go like same-sex marriage — one state says “Yes” and then the other states have to say the same thing.

It’s interesting to think that as recently as 6months to a few years go, it was conservatives retreating to safer media and having to create their own. Everything was left except a few small places, like truthsocial and Parler, and I forget the cable news channel after even Fox was too left

That has all changed so fast, Elon Musk X and Joe Rogan’s podcasts ARE the mainstream media now

The same 56% who were for the Harris/Walz presidential ticket.

The pendulum has swung and it swung swiftly. Out of the top 10 podcasts, without even looking I bet most of them are of conservative or non-political bent.

Every once in a while, and the Democrat party as it is now is a great example, a political party goes too far because they listen only to a few loud voices. The voter who usually just quietly goes about their business and pays little attention to politics took notice this time and spoke out themselves. Very loudly.

Come to think of it, it seems it has always been the Democrat party that goes “too far”. I truly believe that the last few elections they have won, have been due to election fraud.

This is a great video of the new dance that is taking over the nation. LOL!

I believe the only thing keeping mainstream media afloat are the advertising dollars from Big Pharma. Take away that source of cash, and they will fall apart.

***A majority of Americans (56 percent) still favor stricter laws for gun sales***

But when put to a Public Vote, gun laws always fail. I am still reminded how Proposition 15 in 1982 California was guaranteed to pass! Handgun Control Inc was already popping Champagne corks and preparing to hit Florida next.
Then the Public had a say and prop 15 failed miserably.

https://ballotpedia.org/California_Proposition_15,_Handgun_Ownership_and_Registration_Initiative_(1982)

So, when in 1988 a proposal to ban As-s-ault Rifles was proposed it was not given to the Public to vote on.
It was shelved because it was so unpopular. I felt something BAD would happen in California within a few months. It did!

The State released seven time loser Pat Purdy from a mental institution, allowed him to violate State and Federal gun laws, buying a rifle in Oregon and handgun in California, passing the waiting period.

He then went and shot up the Stockton School killing several students and himself.

The shelved bill was pulled out and passed so fast before opposition could be mounted against it.

Since that day I often wonder if these shootings have “backing” we do not know about, especially as fast as the blood dancers start calling for “MORE GUN CONTROL!”
