Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the radical leftist President of Brazil currently hosting the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, will tell attendees Monday the time has come for a global taxation impost on ultra wealthy individuals.
At a July meeting of G20 finance ministers in Rio, the world’s wealthiest nations agreed to start a “dialogue on fair and progressive taxation, including of ultra-high-net-worth individuals,” despite fierce resistance from the United States and Germany.
Now Lula says the time has come for action as he hopes to move the wealth tax plan forward as the money raised from billionaires will help boost other pressing global issues, Deutsche Welle reports.
The German outlet explains how the impost would work:

He’s confusing “we simply say NO” with “fierce resistance”.

What if we just tax Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, George Soros and Klaus Schwab? Will that work? I'm all-in if that's the plan.

"Does this included taxing yourself dirt bag???" Ha! THAT was my first thought, also. Yeah, let's start with you!

Why does the public always view rich people as evil and poor people as good? In the US, the top 10% ($450,000 and up) of the income earners pay 72% of
all tax collections by the IRS. The bottom 50% ($44,600 or less) pay less than 3%. Yet, Harris says the rich don't pay their "fair share". It is the rich who invest in this country and promote economic growth and create jobs. How many of you were hired by a poor person?
People continually hold up Bezos as an example of the rich and say that he should give away his wealth. Why? During the early years he took the risk of starting Amazon and, rather than living the lavish life style in the early years, he plowed the profits back into the company. So, until you feed, clothe, and shelter over 250,000 souls, I'm going to ignore your bitching and tell you to sit down and STFU.

I love how people want to tax people because they make too much. They fail to see the irony about having a leviathan government that takes more than its fair share of someone else’s production.

Fierce resistance? This isn’t a majority-rules thing. Just calmly say, “No. That’s not going to happen. Let’s move on to the next topic.”
And if the grifters don’t want to move on, fine. Just get up and leave.
