President-elect Donald Trump tapped longtime fracking advocate Chris Wright to lead his administration’s Department of Energy, he announced Saturday.
Wright, the chief executive of oilfield services group Liberty Energy, helped launch the American Shale Revolution of the mid-2000s that significantly increased US production of oil and natural gas.
“As Secretary of Energy, Chris will be a key leader, driving innovation, cutting red tape, and ushering in a new ‘Golden Age of American Prosperity and Global Peace,'” Trump said in a statement.
Wright’s appointment to the Trump administration cabinet signifies the president-elect’s determination to boost fossil fuel production in the US, while rolling back green alternatives.

I went through the oil exploration museum in Midland TX and discovered that fracking began in the Pennsylvania oil fields as individuals lowered nitroglycerin into oil reservoirs to expand the area for oil recovery. I don’t think I would have liked to have that job.
I’ve read books written by a machinist in the late 19th century that included incidents of nitro being delivered to well sites by horse-drawn carriage. Roads being what they were, that driver was a brave man.

Applause but I would applaud louder and longer with evidence the shackles placed by the Left on nuclear energy will be removed.
Works for me. More natural gas...Stop NYS from blocking any future natural gas. Hochul know sh** about energy. And we’re using farm lands for solar farms....stupid.
