If legislation doesn’t pass the House under Speaker Johnson before the end of the year (and pass Senate/President) then the Debt Ceiling is back in force on January 1, 2025. It might be good to keep all the non-essential functions turned off for a while until all the new Cabinet and other political appointees, such as US Attorneys, can be in place. The States’ law enforcement and other agencies have sufficient personnel in place to keep law/order until Congress/President can come up with a new budget & spending program to put whatever federal programs are actually needed and Constitutional in place.
Does this mean my mohair subsidy is in peril?
