Former Chrysler exec says Trump's win is prompting CEOs to move out of China

President-elect Donald Trump's landslide victory over Vice President Harris is already sending shockwaves through the business world as executives have looked to move production out of China since last week, former Home Depot and Chrysler CEO Bob Nardelli told FOX Business.

"I think he's [Trump] going to be very positive about growth. He's going to be very protective. He's going to try to re-shore onshore stuff out of China," he said Tuesday on "Mornings with Maria."

"Big discussion yesterday about the supply issue, basically superseding the domestic demand issue in China, so a lot of the companies I'm talking to and CEOs are already looking at how they're going to move out of China, either onshore, back to the U.S., or re-shore to another favorable country."

Good. I'd rather pay a few dollars more for some cheap thing that used to be made in China than to see the CHICOMs war machine further funded.

We're the recipients of unfair trade practices by China, and the future recipients of their War Machine, if it comes to that.

Manufacturing plants that I am familiar with had been highly automated, so there was very little direct labor content, thus is made no sense to offshore them, other than to comply with Wall St. expectations that it was what was supposed to be done to maintain competitiveness. Let’s hope Trump can flip the script, and Wall St. forces return of the means of production to the USA where the ripple effect will multiply the impact ten-fold.

Trump needs to roll back the ridiculous CAFE standards. They were issued to make it nearly impossible to produce ICE vehicles.

We saw what the Israelis did with beepers and radios. What kinds of Trojan Horses have the Chicoms installed in our phones, televisions, medical equipment, cars, planes, trains, computers and food?

Goods made in American factories, on American soil, by American workers, from American raw materials, transported by American Trucks on American roads or American trains on American rails don’t get stuck on containerships waiting to be unloaded in California’s idiotically eco-freak operated ports.

Ask Honda and Toyota ...

I respectfully disagree. Another factor driving manufacturing out of country is the left's many regulations making it harder and more expensive to manufacture in the U.S. You know, to save the environment or whatever.

That’s called clear and deliberate messaging, rarely seen in government circles.

Will the unions cooperate with that? Automated factories are one of their bugaboos, aren’t they?

They can voluntarily move product out of China or as the European car companies are finding out, deal with a Chinese competitor in their home country. European car plants in China are slow while the Chinese car companies are starting to export to Europe.

Trump sees the same issue in the USA. So does the union workers, that’s why they voted for Trump!

President-elect Donald Trump’s landslide victory over Vice President Harris

Not so fast. CA is still counting [ only 74% counted ] and could come up with the missing 11 million votes, giving Kamala 82 million to Trump’s paltry 74 million, and so win the popular vote while surpassing Biden’s 81 million votes.

The ChiCom’s have to be worried. They created a Virus to help their Democrat allies steal elections Now the man who they conspired to remove is back and more powerful than ever.
