MSNBC’s reliably liberal audience has tuned out the anti-Trump network since Election Day with a staggering 54% drop in primetime viewership.
MSNBC averaged 1.1 million viewers during the month of October but plummeted to an average audience of 736,000 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of last week following President-elect Donald Trump’s historic landslide victory over Vice President Kamala Harris. MSNBC’s remarkable 31% drop comes as Fox News Channel’s viewership grew by 61% over the same time period.
MSNBC also shed 26% of its year-to-date totals, but things got even worse in primetime.
During the primetime hours of 8-11 p.m. ET, MSNBC averaged 1.8 million total viewers in October but viewership of "Alex Wagner Tonight," "All in with Chris Hayes" and "The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell" have averaged only 808,000 total viewers since election night. The 54% drop represents more than half of the network’s primetime viewers, and MSNBC is also down 51% from its year-to-date totals while Fox News is up 58% in primetime compared to 2024 averages.

I would imagine that all of the major cable “news” (politics) networks will see a drop in ratings.
CNN and MSNBC will try to expose the “resistance” stratagem though. IE: 4 years of orange-man-bad.
That’s not exclusive to the left. I suspect Limbaugh was at his peak when democrats were in power.

Fox News viewers are uneducated people
… I mean you have to be pretty uneducated to think men cannot have babies. Where do they get this nonsense anyway? Is it because they all ingest Fox News without questioning reality? Everyone can see that CNN and MSNBC are the true sources of news for the educated. I remember when CNN and MSNBC were reporting on how bad Kamala Harris was as VP and trying to figure out how to oust her off the ticket to help Biden win another term but then all of the sudden Joe Biden got dementia, overnight, and decided (on his own) to withdraw from seeking reelection. Fortunately for the highly educated viewers, they recognized CNN and MSNBC’s misrepresentation of Kamala and came to realize that her faults and historically low approval ratings were not accurate and most likely Russian disinformation. They knew all along that she is in fact the best choice to lead our nation which is evidenced by her remarkable platform and leadership which is growing her support to record approval ratings. They have come to realize that her promises of opportunity will help them turn the page on the past 4 years of dismal performance by current leadership which is odd since it’s her and Biden in theory. That’s OK though, the educated can look beyond that fact and believe her promises and can’t wait to instill her new policies; too bad she doesn’t just do them right now that would really show those idiots at Fox and all the uneducated viewers.
So 14,000 viewers per state - pretty weak for a once major news source.
They have no influence. They are not the news. The are propaganda arm for the Democrat Party. Get political ad money for payback.
MSNBC is the network people watch while pointing and laughing at them...

There isn’t much to report. Jill is packing their stuff, Joe is looking out the window, and the Trump team is running at full steam, preparing to get things done on Day One.

The joke wasn't about the people. Puerto Rico actually has a major trash problem.
Apparently that comedian was on Joe Rogan, and Rogan advised him that perhaps he should noy include that joke, which I actually agree with Rogan. It really wasn't the ramifications it might have caused. Though in fact, it may have actually cost Trump some of the support for him. Had I vetted him, I would have demanded he take it out of his routine. Only because there is no reason to provide fodder to a press that will take it & run with it. Who needs it, especially since most people probably do not know about the trash problem that Puerto Rico has, so they will not fully comprehend what the basis for the joke is predicated upon.
