Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly confirmed Sunday that Israel was behind the “pager attacks” that killed or wounded thousands of Hezbollah terrorists in September and disrupted the group’s communications.
The pager event has been called the most successful targeted attack on terrorists in the history of anti-terror warfare. It caused a minimum of injury to civilians while causing major damage to Hezbollah’s infrastructure and personnel.
The Times of Israel reported:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted for the first time during Sunday’s weekly cabinet meeting that Israel was behind the pager and walkie-talkie attacks on Hezbollah in September, according to quotes leaked to Hebrew media.
Thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies containing explosives detonated on their Hezbollah owners across Lebanon and parts of Syria on September 16 and 17.

Lebanon said nearly 3,000 others were wounded in the attack. The tolls did not differentiate between civilians and members of the terror group, and among the wounded was Tehran’s ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani. A Hezbollah official told Reuters a week later that the attacks put 1,500 of the group’s fighters out of commission due to their injuries, with many having been blinded or had their hands blown off.

Perhaps reasonable men thought it best to do "unreasonable" things like booby-trap pagers issued to terrorists after the Israeli women and children were raped and babies burned alive in ovens, while savages laughed and videotaped it.
For the record, there are no wars without collateral damage. This was probably one of the largest, most targeted attacks, with the least amount of collateral damage. More than 3,500 terrorists taken off the battlefield, including mid and upper level management, disruption of C2, with what - one story of a one child handing a pager to her father?
And yes, sometimes there are dead children as collateral damage in war.

But, glad to see you stand with the terrorists. It's this type of spineless, terrorist coddling mentality that led to multiple attacks against the US, and wasting 20yrs in Afghanistan, more than a decade in Iraq, thousands of American service member lives, and trillions in debt saddled onto our great-grandchildren, rather than killing as many as possible by the most effective means necessary.
But, you tell me what's worse - Making war brutal hell and ending in the fastest way possible, or prolonging the suffering because you're worried about hearts and minds and overly worried about collateral damage?
From personal experience, one of the hardest things I ever had to deal with was grown men, old enough to be my father, coming into the checkpoint and BEGGING us to go in and kill the terrorists....."blow up the mosques, schools, hospitals" - and in one instance the man proclaimed even if I die I don't care....anything was better than living under the oppression of the terrorists that use rape and torture.
Thankfully for the Israelis, their leaders still know how to fight war to win rather than trying to fight not to lose.
