Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tore into Sen. Bernie Sanders who had derided the Democratic Party and its alleged issues with the working class that ultimately failed to support Vice President Kamala Harris in her bid for the White House.
In a scathing letter to his former party a day after the election, Sanders blasted the Dems for “abandoning” the working class and seemingly acting surprised they didn’t show up at the polling booths.
“It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them,” the Democratic socialist, 83, said in a fiery statement on X.
“First, it was the white working class, and now it is Latino and Black workers as well. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right,” the Democratic Socialist said.
Pelosi didn’t take kindly to the Vermont independent senator’s remarks, rebutting Sander’s claim and doubling down that the Democratic Party didn’t abandon the working class.
“I have a great deal of respect for him, for what he stands for, but I don’t respect him saying that the Democratic Party has abandoned the working-class families. That’s where we are,” the 84-year-old California Rep. told the New York Times podcast “The Interview.”
Pelosi was pressured to reveal what went wrong in Harris’ campaign, but could not admit it was the vice president’s fault for losing the presidential election to Donald Trump.
“Well, I just completely disagree. And, in fact, Kamala Harris ran ahead of Bernie Sanders in Vermont”....

Hey, Bernie, stay out of Mexico and Brazil.
Why Nancy, I forgot you were there.
Queen Nazi Pelosi has spoken ... all fall down and worship
She added that he is barely a multi-millionaire and lacks standing in her party.
As soon as I see “NewsWeak” then I tune out.
You may go now.
The first thing the democrat party has to do is dump Pelosi like a hot potato.
This is actually kinda rare. Republicans are known to publicly sling mud at each other, to the detriment of the party. Democrats, much less so.
So how can this Sanders/Pelosi dust-up be explained?
My best guess is that Sanders got all worked up after reading “The Communist Manifesto” again. 📕
And Pelosi, drunk as usual. 🍷
Bernie is actually right, though. The Democrats are now the party of the Hollywood Elite.
No one respects Ms Botox anymore, so who the hell cares what she says?
> Bernie is actually right, though. <
Yes, indeed. The average working guy is worried about inflation, crime, illegal immigration, his daughter being forced to play sports with a tranny - things like that.
Instead the Harris campaign focused on…well, who knows? But whatever she was babbling about, it sure wasn’t what concerned the average American.
Please don't give anymore advice in this regard. LOL
Yeah, Nancy, sometimes the truth hurts.
Exactly what is Nancy Pelosi’s job right now?
I heard she got re-elected, but re-elected to do what?
Anything with the adjective ‘Emeritia” on it is mostly an honorific ‘gold braid frivolity’ that means nothing except to the recipient.
Not true. You just took money from one pocket and shoved it into another. Net gain, zero.
“What did, what’s his name? What did Trump do when he was president? One bill that gave a tax cut to the richest people in America,” she said.
Exactly what's needed. The top 10% ($450,000 and up) of the income earners in the US pay 73% of all taxes. The lowest 50% ($46,000 and less) pay less than 3%. Fact is, it is the "rich" who invest in the economy, expand production, and create economic growth and new jobs. If we lowered the corporate tax rate to 15%, we have an avalanche of foreign companies who would invest in production facilities in the US, creating hundreds of thousands in new jobs. Just look what happened in Chile and Ireland when they cut their corporate rates. We vilify the rich and praise the poor. Why? How many of you were hired by a poor person? You may think Bezos is "too wealthy", but in the formative years, instead of living a lavish lifestyle, he plowed the profits back into Amazon. So until you provide food, clothing, and shelter for over 250,000 people, I suggest you sit down and STFU.
Hollywood elites, big tech, media, and those with an air of educated superiority …. It started back during Clinton with his third way. Obama had broader appeal but even he described “bible toting gun owners”’or something like that. The Dems transition to “educated rich” and the derision of “uneducated working class” is nothing new. We heard it the entire campaign.
