What Trump cannot claim is a landslide victory, although that’s how he will describe it.
As of Saturday, Trump is winning the popular vote with a little more than 74 million votes, although millions of votes have yet to be counted in California, Washington and Utah, among others. The final 2024 popular vote tally likely won’t be known until December.
In terms of the Electoral College, Trump is on track to win 312 electoral votes if his lead in Arizona holds. It’s a solid win, but in the lower half of US presidential elections.
Trump will never be on a presidential ballot again, because the 22nd Amendment limits presidents to two terms. But voters will get an opportunity to weigh in on how he and Republicans use their power in two years, during the 2026 midterm elections.
The past three presidents, including Trump in his first term, all lost control of the House after their first two years in office. If Trump does end up with a friendly Republican majority this year, he’ll have to work hard to keep voters on his side two years from now.

Copium is one helluva drug LMAO!
“It is not pining for the fjords. It is a dead parrot. It is deceased, it is no more it is singing to the celestial choir. This is a dead f—king parrot!”
Uh, I keep reading verbal trivia. And, in any case, what’s a CNN?
313 EV and 4 million popular vote? okkkkkkay, CNN.
And I have no doubt that if all the numbers were reversed and it was a Harris (excuse me while I barf) victory, they’d say the same thing. /s
312*
Considering that Trump was running with an extremely bias media like CNN and an incredibly corrupt Presidential administration and justice dept that abused their power for political advantage, Trump won by a HUGE landslide!!
Wait a minute I thought there weren’t supposed to be any more elections.
Whatever. The DEMs can obtain 50% plus one vote, and they get to veer hard left. Idiots.
They need to keep pumping their lack luster audience full of sht.
Whatever helps you sleep at night😂
Landslide, not a landslide.
That’s a game of semantics. But was indeed a very decisive victory - winning literally every so-called battleground state - and this attempt at downplaying such a result and what it means nonsense. No Democrat candidate has done this poorly and a Republican candidate done this well since 1988.
Thus far, Kamala Harris has not flipped a single, solitary county from the last election in her favor. Even Walter Mondale and George McGovern did that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHkCNX7m9t4
Maybe if it was one on one it wouldn’t be a landslide but it was Trump against the entire system. National security apparatus, Intel, media, entertainment. Billions in free media for comrade. Trump’s win was a huge landslide in context. It didnt just fall out of a coconut tree. It’s the context.
A decisive win for the ages with all the BS he had to deal with. ABC, CBS and NBC were democrat affiliates.
Imagine the result with even a marginally more fair & honest media...
Hilarious
It is a landslide in today’s America. The country has drastically changed in the past several decades, so 1984 landslides may not be possible anymore. Given how seemingly everything veered to the GOP, it really is stunning.
