When I was in 7th grade — 1972 — my history class had a mock election. Everyone in class voted for McGovern except me. I was the only Nixon supporter. That’s MA for ya.

While I’ve gotten nervous, one thing that might really swing this is the “younger” vote, meaning 35 and under.
They are very much a podcast generation, and love Joe Rogan (I think he’s just ok).
My daughter really likes Vivek, RFK jr and Elon Musk, and she voted Trump.
They listen to Rogan a lot and he had supported RFK, then RFK switched to Trump.
So I think that generation now finds Trump “cool”.
We’ll see.

If Trump wins, I will give a lot of credit to RFK Jr.

Listen closely now. We may hear her repeat that.

When I was in the 5th grade, everyone voted for Eisenhower except for me. I voted for Stevenson

Maybe there’s small modicum of hope for up there yet.
I remember the 2nd Congressional District up there was all Trump country last time and I suspect it still is after the past 4 years of destruction.. Even lobstermen were flying Trump flags on their boats much to the chagrin of the down state invaders from MA, NY, etc..
Go Trump!!!!

My kids over 35, not so much.

Even kids in Maine know better.

One thing that does give me hope is that I think this upcoming generation, the kids who are 12 years old today, will become more conservative than their predecessors.
