We're coming near to the finish line for the 2024 elections, with Election Day on Nov. 5, and of course early voting taking place in many states already.
As I wrote recently, GOP Senate nominee Kari Lake and Rep. Ruben Gallego (D) were polling neck-and-neck, with the added assurance of former President Donald Trump keeping a lead against Vice President Kamala Harris in polling in the Copper state.
This week brings more positive news for the Lake camp, as a pair of polls show the former Phoenix news anchor leading her far-left liberal opponent. On Tuesday, Data Orbital released a poll showing the Republican at 45.2 percent and the Democrat at 44.5 percent. (The poll was taken of 550 likely voters, between Oct. 26-28, with a margin of error of +/- 4.26.)

Wow, she is peaking at just the right time.
I voted for her, gallego is a communist
I didn't think so either, simply because she's not a good candidate.
Of course, Gallego is a full-blown, unrepentant communist and this simple, undeniable fact is likely forcing Arizona voters to look past Lake's poor retail politic skills and focus on what's actually at stake.
And they probably also finally figured that if they elect Gallego, they're going to get Gallego, full Marxist and all, and not Kyrsten Sinema.
I hate it when my polls drop.
Seriously though, taking the house and senate and the POTUS will mean A LOT...as long as there aren’t too many neocons or RINOs
We need drastic changes and congress needs to HELP Trump, not hurt him.
She is one that will help.
This race should be a piece of cake for republicans against a friggin commie.
“She is one that will help.”............Boy I’m with you here. We have a shot at 4 or 5 new conservative senators which will come in real handy for Trump’s agenda to come to fruition.
The margin of error in the poll (+-4.5), is greater than the difference between the support for the different candidates (0.7). Why not just say it could be dead even and realize the Dims do not have to use many fraudulent votes to beat the difference.
Are many of these “winning” polls similar (in how the margin of error is greater than the difference betwween two candidates)?? Are some polling and media folks deliberately trying to deliver a shocking disappointment the morning after the election??? Then everyone will blame “the polls” when it really may be about how the polls are reported and what is not honestly reported about them.
DO NOT GET COMPLACENT EVER!!!!
The revelation that Gallego abandoned his pregnant wife to carry on with another woman may be opening the eyes of the suburban moms as to what a scumbag he is.
“You know, I used to think she didn’t have a chance. Hope I was wrong (again). Gallego sucks.”
I agree. However, I have been donating to her campaign. Maybe Trump’s coat tails are long enough to pull her ahead of Gallego.
I voted for her, early and in person.
You've been, clearly, watching her more than I have. What do you mean by this?
So, she’s leading among likely voters, which apparently means people who haven’t voted yet. Sure hope she had a similar percentage among early voters.
That doesn’t look good for McCormick though, nor Nevada
Isn’t Ruben Gallego’s from the east coast? New Jersey maybe. And it was just revealed he left his wife when she was ready to give birth.
A real piece of work.
That would be like Christmas, what with Turtle dropping out of leadership.
Gallego filed a motion to seal the divorce records on the same day he filed them, and has fought with the Washington Free Beacon all year to keep it that way after the conservative outlet sued for access to the records.
Bombshell divorce records reveal how Congressman blindsided pregnant wife with divorce papers days before she gave birth
Then Kari Lake will be lucky to win just like Tom Tillis (R-NC) was fortunate enough to win in '20 due to Cal Cunningham's indiscretions.
I dont know if we are even republicans anynmore or just vote because any conservatives are on the repubican ticket.
FR is really a Conservative site more than a republican site.
I wish they were one and the same.
We can vote to make it that way!
H
ave a good one!
I don't think she's a great politician. I think she's struggled and burned a lot of bridges among Arizona's "McCain Republicans" --who are still very influential in the state. She's trailed Gallego in the polls by upwards of ten points almost the entire race.
If she's in the lead now, it's because these voters have put their animosity towards Lake behind them and are are holding their nose and coming home to her to defeat Gallego, a literal communist who will be a disaster for Arizona --and the country.
