Former President Bill Clinton said the “economy was better” under former President Donald Trump during a rally for Vice President Kamala Harris in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, adding that people should still vote for Harris.
“I don’t think it’s right to say that people have to vote for Donald Trump because the economy was better then,” Clinton said in what rallygoers seemingly perceived as a pro-Trump slip, as the 42nd president’s remark elicited groans from the audience.
But Clinton stressed that people should still vote for Harris, even though the economy was better under Trump.
Clinton also said, “I think I’m entitled to my opinion about who would be better” because he used to be president, and he thinks he “did pretty well.”
Notably, Clinton made a similarly apparent anti-Harris slip a few weeks ago, when he said that Laken Riley’s death “probably wouldn’t have happened” if the Biden-Harris administration had “properly vetted” her accused illegal migrant murderer.

Its the economy stupid.
Essentially, he’s saying to vote for Harris “just because” when he knows how much is at stake. He knew what was at stake when he declined to snuff bin Laden out when he had the chance. Don’t play stupid with me, Clinton! You’re just as devious as you always were.
For a party that thinks it’s so smart, the Democrats are really good at goofing up.
It’s the first time that Bill Clinton has told the truth. I guess he didn’t ask Hillary beforehand.
He really is not helping Kamala, is he!?
Ya, he doesn’t look or sound good.
Actually, I’ve seen other pictures taken of him recently and this one is the best. He does not look or seem well.
He looks like the Crypt Keeper.
He probably hasn’t seen Hitlery for weeks.
When you take logic out of the discourse, there is nothing left to discuss
IMO, She (Herself), wrote it on his hand with a pen so he’d say it just right.
He looks and sounds terrible these days. Jimmy Carter may outlive him.
There are MILLIONS of women out there like that...
“It’s hard for me to conclude anything other than that Bill Clinton assumes Kamala is going to lose and is trying to “do the right thing” for his party by campaigning for Harris and yet not destroy his credibility. You can’t blame these types of comments from Clinton on stupidity or dementia like you can with Joe. I’m no Clinton fan, but he’s not stupid. And he may have deteriorated physically but I think his mind is still sharp enough to understand what he’s saying.”

Agreed. I hate the bass turd, but have to admit that he’s not a dope by any stretch of the imagination. Evil…well, that’s a wholly different question.
Go Walz yourself, Slick.
A lot of dimrats are hedging their bets.
I’m a guy so I can’t speak for what attracts a woman… but my wife always thought he was particularly unattractive even when he was younger.
Bulbous red nose
Squinty eyes
Pale skin
Smug ass-hole expression stuck on his face..
High-pitched girly voice
He was very tall, had money, success and power - women seem to go for that kind of thing more than movie star looks.
Harris needs Biden, Obama, Bill Clinton to campaign for her along with constant praise from the press because she is terrible on her own. The more she talks, the more Democrat enthusiasm to vote for her drops. This is separate from opposing Trump. Harris cannot campaign worth a hill of beans. Biden, Obama and Clinton are driven to campaign for her for their political legacies more than party loyalty.
While they need to campaign for her, they do not have to like it. All of them know when they upstage her, talk down and shame black men into voting for her, or say times were better under Trump, they know exactly what they are saying.
They are indirectly signaling that while they do not want Trump to win, they can live with Harris losing. That's good enough.
Meanwhile, in Michigan, Stellantis is quietly folding up the Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep brands and leaving Michigan and is in UAW disarray
