A group of nearly 200 former North Korean soldiers aims to leverage their insider knowledge to exert psychological pressure on their former compatriots. To achieve this, they plan to travel to Ukraine, citing the South China Morning Post.

According to the report, each of these deserters has between seven and ten years of military service experience.

They intend to use their understanding of North Korea's army to disorganize and demoralize troops sent to fight in Ukraine by exploiting their psychological vulnerabilities.

It is currently known that all of the volunteers are residing in South Korea.

You can bet the South Korean government will have a heavy presence in Ukraine now to monitor the Norks, help with prisoners, offer assylum and test their own weapons. Kim has opened a pandora's box allowing his soldiers to go to war. He might be very disappointed and a lot of Northern Generals might disappear.

Only if they want their own troops coming back in body bags, courtesy of the Russian military.

Has there been any discussion about how these moves with North Korean troops in European Russia affect the cease-fire/truce between North and South Korea? Could the UN call for a mobilization to face North Korea in Ukraine?

I told people a couple of weeks ago that any place was better then North Korea.

I was met with skepticism.

The Nork soldiers are going to Russia, not Ukraine. Probably for engineering and logistics work… they can’t integrate with Russian troop on the battlefield.

No skepticism here.
The absolutely worst country to be born in!

The approach above is interesting. It could work and lead in major wave of desertions.
However, the North Korean regime is ready for it. They will hold some family hostage back in North Korea.
You desert, your family will get one way ticket to Gulag!

Despite years of your wishful thinking, the most body bags are returning from Ukraine to Russia.
I am wondering, how many brand new military graves are in Kazan?!

Putin has calculated that it's far cheaper to import North Koreans to die in Ukraine than it is to to transport Russian KIA back to Moscow for burial.

Ain't outsourcing great.

False. Nobody that escapes a totalitarian rule wants to then forfeit their own life for nothing.

South Korean spent several years trying to keep the Global South diplomatically engaged while a part of the US alliance against Russia in Ukraine, going to so far as deny any shipment of military products to Ukraine and rather only exporting to replace US munitions at the depot levels.

Now with the Brics summit over in Russia, is S.Korea going to go full short-term-diplomacy and do another 50-years of damage to their diplomatic relations by siding with Zelinski?

S.Korea is in the wake of the US and must follow to some extent the alliance’s leadership in DC, but winds are blowing the Obama/Biden NATO-Con cliqe from power.

All the news from South Korea tied to this story of North Koreans has the sound of typical agency funded MSM ops in the west.

The South will need to get ahead of this story diplomatically speaking or at the presidential level at some point to make clear that South Korea is not going to become a party to conflict by sending mercenaries to Ukraine.

The Global South may have become much harder to engage as they join Brics, but South Korea has too much invested in their diplomacy with future trade partners to blow it all on a Biden BS at this point.

The questions that should be asked to those in the South’s leadership should be as to whether S.Korea is joining NATO? Are they now going to become a party to the war?

Korea’s position with the non-aligned nations is on the line.

Maybe the money from the DNC has bought complete insanity in S.Korea now that will push them into NATO as a consequence of getting their relations with other nations bottomed out.

My girlfriend is Korean-American and still has family there...including a son of military age (at the upper end of the age range). She says that North Koreans who somehow escape from the country will see their family members remaining in NK be punished...*severely* punished for that escape. One would assume that the same holds true for these desertions.

Prove it. All you're doing is repeating the lies of the Biden regime and Deep State.

Russia, you blithering idiot, has had an eight to ten to one advantage in ammo fired. So, Russia has had 600,000 causalities (and that completely made up number), then only an idiot can't figure out that Ukrainian causalities would be more than three million.

It's propaganda that would make Baghdad Bob blush.

Kazan is a capital of Tatarstan.
Are you Tatar?
Descendant of Genghis khan?
Long since neutered by the Russians?
You seems like one of those. Just slave to Russian, following orders!
