Nolte: Trump Takes Historic Poll Lead In RealClearPolitics National Average

With ten days and change to go, Donald Trump has taken the lead in the RealClearPolitics (RCP) average poll of national polls.

While he may be up by only a tenth of a point (as of this writing), what makes this achievement worthy of note is two things.

The first is momentum. This close to Election Day, there is no question the momentum is with the former president. Since early August, incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris has enjoyed a steady national lead over Trump. Two weeks ago, that lead was two points. That might not sound like a lot, but it those two points were the average of all the national polls, a lead as stubborn as it was steady. And now, at the precise time a candidate wants to be surging, Trump is. Currently, he sits at 48.4 percent to Kamala’s 48.3 percent.

Of course, RCP is averaging in a lot of garbage polls, so who knows what the actual Trump lead is. Trump is leading, but that vs Harris. Against Harris/Fraud, I’m not so sure.

Of every RCP poll included in the RCP Average started within the past week, Harris only led one -- Rasmussen Tracking. Rasmussen Tracking is not a 'garbage poll'. The rest of the polls have Trump tied or leading. So which one is the garbage poll?

There has to be garbage somewhere in RCP. How can Trump be leading in nearly all polls +1 to +3, yet somehow he just took the lead in RCP by +0.1? Something real squirrelly about their numbers.

Not sure if the average is only among the last week’s poll. I think it’s moving average so it still has some older polls hanging there, although slowly those older ones will be dropped as well.

I agree but Rasmussen worries me. He has a good track record. However, we do not know the private polls both sides pay for. Those are the most accurate as the party paying for the poll wants the real numbers.

Kamala and her team have gone hyperbolic with their statements of late. This makes me think they know they are losing.

There is something else going on with her campaign. She in the last few days had few rallys some days none. That is not normal at this critical juncture in an election. Why are they hiding her from the public?

Went to polls today to vote early IN PERSON.

Line was decent & moving. About 20 persons inside & outside not counting staff.

Talking to people, it seems as tho TRUMP is their choose.

Staff said there has been LOTS OF EARLY VOTERS IN PERSON.
