On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” CNN Political Commentator and former Obama Adviser Van Jones stated that while there isn’t any excuse for some of the recent actions and irresponsible statements of CEO Elon Musk, “if progressives have a politics that says, all white people are racist, all men are toxic, and all billionaires are evil, it’s kind of hard to keep them on your side. And so, we might want to think about, if you’re chasing people out of the party, you can’t be mad when they leave.”
Jones said, “It’s sad that we lost Elon Musk, and I want to point out, four years ago, Elon Musk was an Andrew Yang Democrat. … He’s done great stuff when it comes to climate, when it comes to space, etc.”

The one and only problem with progressivism is in its rejection of truth.

Now take it a few more steps. Imagine you didn’t alienate the White working class in the Midwest.
Here’s a mind blowing thought. Imagine you didn’t go miles out of your way to alienate White Southerners who also used to vote overwhelmingly Democrat.
Having truly idiotic economic policies, being terminally corrupt and totalitarian sure didn’t hurt.
Exactly right. I view this as the beginning of the Dem party tacking back to the middle and blaming all of their woes on the progressives within their party. They mustn’t be allowed to rewrite this history. They own it all and it should cost them everything.
Everyone is now trying to balance what they say with an eye toward having credibility in the future.

I do think, though, nothing will change even if GOP takes WH/Congress/Senate. The Dems party is too bogged down in DEI/Woke to reverse out of it.
The public navel gazing post-election will be entertaining.

This is just the beginning. Now that that the Democrats have been outed as anti-white and anti-religious, it will close a lot of doors for future elections. Just think of all that mine, $2.3 billion and counting spent on this election.
Dems as always went too far. They got too confident too soon (over the last four years) and couldn’t help themselves but get ahead of their socialist trajectory.
Not saying they still can’t win this election though. They are increasingly taking control of the demographics and institutions. But not enough of us have died off yet and God bless the independents. There are still many who have a low tolerance for BS.
At some point they will likely have the numbers to do whatever it is they are trying to do without effective opposition.
