The 5th Circuit’s ruling in a Mississippi case could have implications for other states with similar laws.
A federal appeals court Friday ruled invalid a Mississippi law that allows election officials to count mail ballots that arrive after Election Day as long as they are postmarked by then.
The ruling came less than two weeks before the Nov. 5 presidential election and could have implications for other states with similar laws. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit did not rule on how the state should handle ballots for this election, saying that matter should be addressed later by a trial court judge.

It should read “Washington Post” as the source.
That’s a good thing, because Democrats want to count every ballot until the can secure the win.

FACT CHECK: Did The USPS Endorse Kamala Harris For President?
The claim is misleading. The NALC, a labor union that represents postal walkers, not the USPS, endorsed Harris.
What’s the difference?
I just read of a dem group renting a building attached to a Post Office. They covered the windows and wouldn’t allow anyone to see what was going on.
Yeah, you know why?? Because if I show up to vote on Thursday I’ll be told the polls are closed. Same thing. Too late.
It’s NO surprise an election’s coming. They’ve been on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November since 1845.
Can ballots of military members be an exception, if delayed while enroute from overseas?
They have to be postmarked appropriately.
Not overseas military ballots. They have teams of lawyers that will fight to reject as many military ballots as they can.
What is to be done with the ones that were tossed out onto the ground. My wife found 7 yesterday in the driveway of my son’s new house he hasn’t moved in to. She picked them up and mailed them again. God knows where they will end up this time.

wording in the headline is wrong.
it’s not “should not” be counted... it’s “must not” be counted.
‘should’ makes it sound like there’s wiggle room...
People are under the delusion that all military voters vote for the conservative, but that is not the case at all. In addition, the are really relying on Americans who are not military who are abroad, which like main-in votes are not fully scrutinized which opens the possibility that votes are being cast by people that are not the people they are pretending to be.
But this might explain what I am talking about:
That is not even taking in the illegal voters who they are registering, with the DoJ suing the states that are removing these illegal voters, demanding that these illegal voters be reentered into the voter rolls.
“They have to be postmarked appropriately.”
With all due respect, define “postmarked”.
Postmarks are not controlled items. They can be added at any time. Cheating would simply involve illegally postmarking the fake ballots. This is why if they do not arrive in time then tough luck.
