Kamala Harris, Liz Cheney, Jamie Raskin, Marc Elias - you couldn't come up with a cast of lawfare corrupniks more sinister than this bunch. And I would not bet a dime that they would follow the law. Worrying about a free and fair election is one thing. But when Trump wins, will these insane leftists let him be sworn in?
To: SharpRightTurn
No matter who wins, methinks there’s going to be trouble.

I hope she doesn’t. It will show how utterly hypocritical the Dems are.

“Will Kamala commit to certifying a Trump win?”
If she wants to save Democracy, then there’s no way she could certify a Trump victory.
...or something like that.

There is about half of me that thinks that Kamala doesn’t really want to be president…like the Mooch.
I think she wants the money…and I’m sure the deal included lots and lots of inflated dollars…and the fame that will bring more Money for Nothing.
So I guess about half of me thinks that, yeah, she’ll do the required formality. The Democrats want chaos on their terms, not otherwise. They’ll go long game.
To: Da Coyote
Kam will just laugh off Trump’s victory and do something else that is fun.

This ONE act - that of certifying the election of whomever - is the reason that sleepy JOE has not been removed as president. If he were removed, Speaker moves up to this position with this task.

This might be a fight that needs to happen as there is no such thing as peaceful coexistence with the modern-day left.

Seems like a conflict of interest.
Has this ever happened before?

Sure plenty of VPs failed to get elected.
More than that won, in fact.

I’m not sure; I haven’t done any research on it.

No.
The president nominates a new Vice President.

The VP oversees the session where the ballots are cast. They don’t “certify” anything.
This is a point that some people fail to understand. They didn’t understand it before 1/6, and they don’t seem to understand it now.

Likely not. At least at first. And then they’ll start drawing up articles of impeachment.
