Kamala Harris runs commercials that identify her plans for the economy. The United States has experienced high inflation caused by the government printing press during the Biden-Harris years. Her solutions include a mix of scapegoating and even more federal spending.
(1) These plans include “going after price-gougers.” Harris and her handlers do not acknowledge the government printing press as the cause of inflation. They scapegoat unnamed “price-gougers” the same way that the Soviet Union used to scapegoat “black marketeers.” One of Ayn Rand’s fictional enforcers in We the Living (depicting life in 1920s Soviet Russia) finally raised the obvious question — “It will be important to explain how a penniless aristocrat [one black marketeer] managed to lay his hands on the very heart of our economic life.” The Harris campaign has not even attempted to explain how a few “price-gougers” managed to create serious inflation throughout the entire U.S. economy. They have not indicated why the “price-gougers” did not create this inflation during the Trump years.
Harris has not explained what she would do to these “price-gougers.” If she provided such a detailed explanation, the obvious question would be why the administration has not already done this in the past four years.
(2) Kamala Harris has promised to crack down on landlords who charge “too much” for rent. The obvious question would be how much is too much. There are thousands of real estate markets in the United States. Each one is subject to the law of supply and demand. The market price for rent is different in each location. How would the Harris administration determine the proper rent amount in each market?

(3) Harris promises to solve the problem of skyrocketing housing prices by causing the federal government to build more homes.
And they will be like military base housing after it was privitized. Cheaply made and maintained. Maybe then the country would have a better appreciation of the military’s sacrifices.
Kamala would likely treat the citizens of the country as badly as she treats her staff. Could we quit too?
Hmmmmmm! I’ve seen “ government housing”. No thanks. As far as gouging, I guess she was late (again) to the meeting that declared no evidence found for gouging. But.......she don’t care. She’s got a ticket to ride. Odd that earlier in the year some dems wanted jebiden to pick another v.p. for 2024.

Big anything and everything is to blame in her Democrat playbook. Krogers and Safeway are price gouging to enhance there 1.5% profit margin. The way forward is to do your weekly grocery shopping at the little guy 7-11. She calls it the Big Slurpee and Lottery Ticket opportunity economy plan

Harris’s “Housing Plan” and all her “Programs” promote naked socialism and government takeover of the economy.
Since there is no shortage of small-time entrepreneurs (aka “Contractors”) ready to build houses, what is the real problem? Just as with the Health Care “crisis” that brought us ObamaCare, the underlying problem is the vast number of people who lack the earnings capacity to pay for what they want and/or need. Increasing earnings capacity would require things like curtailing immigration. Oops.
Harris’s “Plan” is to make the houses that cost three or four times as much as free-market houses, use union labor to attract union votes, and then give the houses away to deadbeats in exchange for their votes. Driving up the notional price prices for the govt houses will cause sellers of existing houses to seek the similar prices. Oops — she’ll seek to regulate house prices to go after housing price gougers. Endless cycles of socialism, coming up.
