Former President Donald Trump's interview with the Bloomberg News and The Economic Club of Chicago.

Saw it live. PDJT handled that smirking foreign puke quite well — and got his points out to the audience, with whom he was clearly more interested in communicating
later
Well, I get to be the buffoon for the day for saying earlier that Vance should do most, if not all of the interviews because they may successfully bait Trump. :)
I’m glad he is not falling for their garbage anymore.
He’s a smart guy.
But like me, he gets agitated sometimes :)
I thought Trump was absolutely masterful in the way he handled the “Bloomberg” hitman who was trying relentlessly to trip him up. Fortunately the audience in attendance was noticeably pro Trump as he won the doubters over with his striking acumen.
BRAVO Donald.
You know, it’s interesting. No one would accuse Trump of being a better speaker or debater than Vance. Vance is one of the best I’ve ever seen, and there are situations in which he outshines Trump. But Trump has some other quality that, as good as he is, Vance could never replicate, nor could anyone else, for that matter.
I can’t completely put my finger on it, but Trump finds a way to dominate the conversation in a way no one else can. Vance is great at swatting away pesky leftists. And that certainly has its place. But Trump makes it more personal when he talks. It’s more of an emotional experience than an intellectual one. You feel like you’re watching him really do battle with the enemy on our behalf. That’s the best explanation I can come up with at the moment.
HOORAY President Trump!
He was great. He owns the room
Donald Trump calls it “The Weave”
Watched it live as well. Engrossing exchange. Trump more than held his own against this smug Brit. The interchange demonstrated how involved Trump was as President. Harris is incapable of having such a discussion.
Notice Kamala wasn’t there!
The Bloomberg economic forum is way out of her league! And she has the gall to question Trump’s mental acuity??
LOL!!
HIS LIFETIME EXPERIENCE OF SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS ‘TRUMPS’ ANYTHING THAT BLOOMBERG TRIED TO SAY.
Trump crushed it. He was Heisenberg; he cleaned house!
He’s a damn savage
The greatest branding!
I am not a fan of tariffs which are ultimately paid by the consumer.
If one only look at tariffs statically, then your argument is persuasive. But Trump’s argument is that, if they cause production to move back to the U.S., the economy benefits, as does the consumer. The American standard of living, in many ways, was better when more of our manufacturing was done domestically. If we were prosperous making more of our own stuff in the past, we can do so again.
In theory, free trade is great. All sides prosper. The problem comes when a nation like the U.S. trades with countries that don’t have the same worker protections we have. We have Social Security taxes that employers have to pay, health insurance, minimum wage, overtime pay, etc. as well as environmental and other regulatory burdens that are placed on businesses here in the U.S. Whether one agrees with such policies or not, we as a society have chosen to implement them, and they adds to the cost of doing business here.
To implement these social welfare laws and regulations and yet allow tariff-free trade with countries that don’t have similar program or the increased costs that go with them, is working at cross purposes. It’s a case of giving with one hand and taking away with the other. What’s the point of a 40 day work week, guaranteed vacation, etc. if no one has a job?
Harris would bankrupt a lemonaide stand.
Trump has a business degree and years of experience in the real world of big business. It’s like Mike Tyson going up against some 19 year old soy boy antifa punk.
