onald Trump's presidential campaign's GoFundMe efforts have raised millions to support survivors of both an assassination attempt on the former president and the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene.
The two high-profile fundraisers, organized by the Republican nominee's national finance director, have raised more than $14 million. The Associated Press (AP), citing legal experts, reported that the funds do not violate campaign finance laws, and the campaign is not allowed to use any proceeds for its own political ends.
According to comments Trump's campaign spokesperson Brian Hughes made to the AP, the decision to use GoFundMe was motivated by "the president wanting to help find a way for his supporters to give as much direct support as they can." Hughes added that the finance team only got involved because of their "great expertise in working with large accounts."

You mean no hollyweird elites haven’t given anything? According to them they are the most philanthropic of anyone.
When I think of GoFundMe, I think of conservative fundraising efforts that get cancelled after a lot of money has been raised. Basically getting conservatives to waste their time before refunding money they have been sitting on. Tell me I;m wrong.

Should use givesendgo
So hand it out already or buy food or SOMETHING. What are you holding it for
You want full blown Taylor nausea, go the Country Music HoF in Nashville. Half of the stuff there is her (a repro of her tour bus is in the building) and that fat slob Jelly Roll as being country music super stars. Oh, and Luke Combs ad nauseum. Not one thing about King George or the other real stars of the genre. Some nice older artist exhibits and good spread on Patty Loveless.
Too many people on the right support left-wing organizations over right-wing organizations. GoFundMe over GiveSendGo. Youtube over Rumble and don’t get me started on presidential debate venues.

“In addition, Hughes told the AP, “not one penny of this funding is going anywhere but to those impacted.” Hughes said more than $6.5 million of the $7.7 million raised for organizations helping with Hurricane Helene recovery had been disbursed as of October 11.”
