Argentine President Javier Milei posted a message on social media in Hebrew to mark the anniversary of the Hamas invasion of Israel on October 7, demanding the return of Israel’s hostages to freedom.
Milei’s message was both a declaration of support for Israel as it continues its self-defense operations against the Hamas jihadist organization in Gaza and its allies in Lebanon and a reminder to the world that Argentina lost citizens to the mass abductions that took place on October 7. At least seven Argentines are believed to be among the 101 people abducted from Israel on October 7, 2023, who remain in captivity today. Among those Argentines is one of the most high-profile cases of abductions, that of the Bibas family, including the youngest captive, Kfir, believed to currently be one year old, and five-year-old brother Ariel. Israel documented the abduction of 251 people a year ago on Monday, some of whom have been rescued or killed in the ensuing months.
Milei wrote his message on both Twitter and Instagram, reading, in English, “BRING THEM HOME NOW.” In Hebrew, the message reads, “Our hearts are captive in Gaza.'as ...Milei also used his time in Israel for spiritual stops, including one at the Kotel, or Western wall...

Javier wants the Falkens?
You mean Las Malvinas?
Milei Wants Argentina To Take Back the Falkland Islands

You know that the UK is Orwellian now? It ain’t the same England when Margaret Thatcher was the PM.
It does no good to direct such messages to the victims
They need to be sent to the damned Fakestinian terrorists who are still holding 101 innocent kidnapped people —
So buddy send your appeal in Arabic not Hebrew or English.
Yes. Like any Argentinian politician.
If you want to be president of Argentina, you have to give at least lip service to this issue.
But, he’s got a lot of more important problems to solve right now.
I do not believe any conflict over these islands is imminent!
In many ways, he is more realistic on this issue than his predecessors.
What benefit to Argentina’s control would accrue to the Gov’t, the general economy, the security of the country or to the country’s oligarchs?
Not too much, despite Falklands being surprisingly one of the richest places on the Earth.
It is just Argentine national pride, which is hurting!
However, Argentina cut military expenses to barebones, so they really do not have any military to speak about right now.
And GB is ready, they have quite a military presence on the islands.
So any possible conflict would be just another humiliation for Argentine.
Miley is very smart, he will not risk anything like that!
He will talk strongly, but there is no stick!
In long term, say decades, if Argentina rebuilds the economy, it can start investing in military, and then, maybe?
I can see Javier making Argentina Great Again and perhaps the residents of the Falklands will sue for a union as GB sinks into 3rd World status.
Yes, I can see that, but it will take a long time, believe me.
Right now, Argentina is still in very shaky situation, despite all the positives.
Only after they solve their economic woes, they can start thinking about military, and even then, it will still be a long time, before they can challenge GB.
So you don’t currently have ARGT as a “Buy”?
What they need is somebody like Pinochet. But Milei is more like Trump. Way different. But what about long term? One term is not going to make much of a difference.
I may, but only, if I like deeply discounted, depressed stocks.
Sometimes, you can make killing in penny stocks!
Argentina was recently on the very bottom, it is recovering well, but there is a long way to full recovery.
And, there is a lot of opposition to Milei over there!
He still have job cut for him!
Thanks.
I may try a very small amount in a taxable acct for the entertainment/daily focus potential upside vs. eventually being a tax write-off of a yuge % loss.
I certainly wish Argentina well.
So do I.
