i see alot lot of Urinalist weasel wording that are red flags to observers that a urinalist is peeing on the leg reporting it as rain.

just as likely what they saw was a 2.5 foot dead river otter heading downstream than a salmon going upstream.

even if it was a salmon, the spawning beds are silted over , and if the fish doesnt die from the toxins stirred up ,it still will never find its spawning bed and will die without reproducing.

they will have to stock the river when no ones reporting it , to claim the debacle worked.

( hope the tribes loaded up on flood insurance )

If there has been no salmon in this river in 100 years, why is there a salmon now?

Salmon return to the stream in which they were hatched to spawn.

If that salmon is swimming up that newly restored stream it must be supremely lost.

I don’t know what they are talking about. I see Wild Kalgin Island Salmon® Sockeye Portions every year marked $25.95 per LB.

It’s easy.
Catch a salmon.
Take it up stream and be ready with your camera when you release it.
Instant proof your plan is working and justified

berkeley

isnt under cover much.

you must be the liberal here.

me and many friends lost our jobs, possessions , marriages and woodsy way of life at the hands of lying communist infiltrators into the usfs, blm , fish and wildlife biologist fields.

i personally saw and had our biologist admit lying about population densities with the spotted owl crap. i worked on the survey.

im pretty happy i dint commit suicide or drink myself to death like some did , while your kind pulled all the crap you are pulling here.

How many millions of birds died of dehydration in the Klamath Basin Flyway this fall due to dam removal?

Is one salmon worth it?

Salmon and steelhead wander at a certain rate, something like 5%. It’s a well known feature of the Columbia River System. They USUALLY return to their natal river, often within a very few feet of where they were born. But some goodly fraction just go wherever, which is good for genetic diversity.

I’m a fish hugger, but tearing down dams and plugging in Teslas will have massively bad consequences.

Q: Why is the critter called the “Northern Spotted Owl”?

A: Because just South of an imaginary line, the same critter is called the “Southern Spotted Owl”, and is doing quite well, thank you.

That whole fiasco had only one purpose: shutting down the PNW timber industry.

There is a die off of waterfowl in that area due to a virus that propagated due to the dam removal and subsequent draining of the wetlands.
