Israelis broadly pick former President Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris as better for Israel's security and in turn favor Trump for the U.S. presidency, albeit with sharp political divisions, a national survey by Langer Research Associates and PORI (Public Opinion Research Israel) finds.
Fifty-eight percent of Israelis in the survey, conducted in September, said Trump would be better for Israel's security, vs. 20% for Harris. If they had a vote in the U.S. election, Israelis said they'd pick Trump over Harris by a similar 54%-24%, with the rest taking a pass.
To a large degree, these attitudes follow the fault lines in Israeli politics. Among people who would support parties in the ruling coalition led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if an election in Israel were today, 88% picked Trump as better for Israel's security and 84% preferred him for the U.S. presidency -- results that may reflect tensions between Netanyahu's government and the Biden administration.
Supporters of Israeli opposition parties, by contrast, split closely, 39%-37%, Harris-Trump, in preference for the presidency. That said, even opposition party supporters picked Trump over Harris as better for Israel's security, albeit by a comparatively close 41%-32%.

Can they vote?
Absolutely those with duel citizenship most certainly can
What about American Jews? There are they in this?
They are too dumb to realize that a vote for Kamala is a vote for pogroms
Because they know trump supports Israel while Harris and walz support Hamas
Most American Jews could give a rats ass if Israel were wiped off the map tomorrow as long as they can get abortions that’s all that matters
A very common -- and idiotic -- talking point among conservatives.
I've lived my whole life in NYC and Los Angeles. I attended universities in NYC and L.A. I worked in the media for decades. Which means I've been around (mostly secular) Jews for decades.
I can attest that the vast majority care very deeply about Israel and its survival.
I remember this far-left, Emmy Award winning Jewish TV producer in 2002, who was terrified that Bush wouldn't attack Iraq. She was certain that Iraq was going to nuke Israel, and she wanted Bush to take out Saddam, for Israel's sake.
She was still pro-abortion, pro-LGBT, anti-"Christian right," and all the rest of the leftist agenda. Except for Israel.
She's just one example.
The vast majority of secular Jews are liberal to leftist on all issues but Israel. On Israel, most of them are to the right of the average Freeper.
Solid 70% for Harris....bet on it.
Can’t disagree with that.
Unfortunately, I think you’re 100% right. Remember when Jesse Jackson was all over them and they still voted in mass for the Democratic candidate?
A whole lot smarter than many Americans. Including many USA Jews.
Different environment. Put them in NYC. They'll vote in favor of the Democratic Party.
Tel Aviv is very similar to NYC in terms of politics.
Why do you suppose Biden sent billions in extra military aid to Israel since Oct 7. (Yeah, he delayed some of it by a few days.) And he had the U.S. military shoot down many of Iran's missiles this week and last April.
My own heavily Jewish Los Angeles neighborhood was blanketed with those Kidnapped posters last year, on trees, stores, lampposts, etc. Plenty of liberal, Democratic, Israel supporting Jews here.
And yet, support for Trumo, clearly the superior candidate for Israel’s security, is supported by 60% of Israeli Jews, while the nearly pro-hamas Harris is supported by about 60% of American Jews.
That’s not a misperception difference. That’s a hard left bias that works directly against actual Israeli existence.
(Trump)
Trump is currently polling better with Jewish Americans than any Republican president in generations.
The same goes for Blacks and Hispanics.
For all they accuse Trump of being some kind of hater, he has eaten into traditional Democrat constituencies in a big way.
