Toyota announced Thursday it will no longer sponsor LGBTQ parades and events and will no longer make efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Toyota told employees it will no longer participate in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index and other corporate surveys. Instead, it will “narrow our community activities to align with STEM education and workforce readiness,” the automaker explained in a memo to its 50,000 employees and 1,500 dealers.
The change follows after conservative activist Robby Starbuck started a social media campaign highlighting the company’s prior support for LGBTQ events and other woke policies.

This corporate trend is somewhat encouraging, we need all corporations to do this.
It sounds like Toyota wants to sell some pickup trucks.
Just wow...the power of ONE man, Robby Starbuck, against a corporate behemoth. Whoever would have guessed a little guy could win against the whole monstrous and sordid Alphabet Machine?
How upsetting for Californians everywhere.
The Associated Press (AP) explained, “The Human Rights Campaign said it is deducting 25 points from the scores of companies that publicly withdrew and that it would continue to rank every Fortune 500 company regardless of whether they chose to participate.”
Companies should shoot for negative scores.
Publish the scores! I will actively avoid companies with “high scores” and seek out companies with “low scores”.
Just exactly who made this scoring system? And just who runs this scoring system? Who asked for or voted for such a scoring system?
I’m guessing it’s not that they don’t believe it anymore; it’s that they’re losing money over it.
The Human Rights Campaign
A homosexual gestapo committee.
I’m glad Toyota got out of the low IQ support group and decided to keep making the highest quality cars in the world.
Finally! A corporate stance that makes sense.
"We had a nice management retreat, drank a bunch of sake, got real ... and remembered that we build cars and trucks. We don't need queers and trannies, we need engineers and factorymen and mechanics."
Seems to be a trend among corporations. What’s driving it?
What’s driving it? The fact that public opinion polls are showing Americans are fed up with this woke virus. The fact that Trump is likely to be reelected (again) demonstrates to these corporate whores that the worm has turned and they are now working to quietly trim their sails.
That sounds encouraging. It’s a better answer than I can come up with. Four years ago, in 2020 I remember Trump up in the polls (he seemed to me in a better position to win than in 2016, anyway,) and folks were sick of woke and cancel culture then, too. I wonder if there could be anything else in addition?
You know very well. Poofters did. No one else cares. NO ONE.
And if the other 95 percent of the business world ignores it, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. Talk about a pink-jello tiger.
“This corporate trend is somewhat encouraging, we need all corporations to do this.”
~~~~~~~
We especially need American Corporations and institutions NOT to be the LAST to do this, either.
hurrah…..
Hurrah Toyota!
It's such a novel concept.
