The VA GOPe is doing its usual job of not promoting their candidates. This is particularly bad in this case because there is a huge Asian population in Northern Virginia, a Dim stronghold, that could be tapped.

I have a friend and former neighbor who retired from the military and won a seat in the VA House of Delegates as a Republican. This was when the Republicans had a majority in both the House and Senate.
As soon as he got to Richmond the Speaker, a Republican, told him he was to shut up and do nothing unless he was told to do so. He was not allowed to write and present any bills and would not be allowed until he was in a third term. He was told he would vote as told.
Near the middle of his second term he told me he was so disgusted about the entire VA political scene and how corrupt it all was that he was not going to run for a third term, would sell his home and move out of state, and he did just that.

Lot’s of Asians in NoVa. Huge Korean community. I lived in McLean for 36 years before moving to SC in 2015. Cao has an outside shot if rural VA has a large turnout. VA has a large veteran community as well.

A guy who was one of the Vietnamese Boat People who made it here and now owns a Dairy Queen franchise used to treat my Dad with such respect and kindness when my Dad was beginning to lose his memory... That he would instruct his employees that whenever they saw him coming to fix exactly what my Dad liked and have it ready by the time
he got to the window. If he didn’t remember what he was there for they just handed him the bag and he was happy as a clam.
