The dockworkers strike that has shut down dozens of ports on the East and Gulf Coasts has reportedly triggered panic buying of toilet paper and paper towels at a Costco on Staten Island — despite experts’ insistence that paper products won’t be affected by the strike.
Video footage on Wednesday showed vast, empty shelves of toilet paper, paper towels and facial tissues. One segment posted by FreedomNews.TV shows just a few pallets of Kleenex at the Costco on Richmond Avenue near the Staten Island Mall.

If Harris gets elected, we'll be using paper dollars currency instead of toilet paper... because it'll be worthless.
I was in Costco here in Cali yesterday and threw one of those mega packs of TP in my cart, not because I was worried about supply chain problems making TP unavailable, but because I was worried about everybody panic-buying all the TP like they did during COVID. And, lo and behold, some old guy in line ahead of me had nothing but 4 mega packs of TP in his cart.
As a child, I remember my mom scrubbing cloth diapers on a scrub board in the bathtub, from my younger siblings soiling their butts. She was very happy when my dad bought her a washing machine with rollers that squeezed out the water, for hanging the diapers from a clothesline.
People now don't realize times before disposable diapers.
NO PAPER! Well */\*&/*!!%^
“John Spartan you have been fined for violating the anti-morality statute”
Paper problem solved!
There is a strike against USA ports.
What about the USB ports?
Did they not learn from 2020?
You can buy a bidet attachment for your toilet for under $100. It installs in ten minutes. If you got poop on any other part of your body, would you just wipe it off with some paper? No, you’d wash it off! Wash your butt, NYC.
redneck bidet

And in the meantime the DNC is holding focus groups with their media whore to spin this as being Trump’s fault.
God blessed us with this house in 2019 and I bought a BIG chest freezer in the fall, just before Covid hit.
Watching the news and following what was happening in China, here on FR, you could see it coming so I started stocking up in Jan.
When President Trump announced the lockdown, I figured Id make one last run to Wegmans. The shelves were BARE. I found a few items and got those. Then I went to the local New Hope Mills in Auburn and their shelves were filled with flour, and baking supplies. Apparently nobody else thought of going there.
Then I ran over to Sauder’s in Seneca Falls, and they had a whole case full of meat, including chicken. Grabbed a bunch there and headed home to hunker down.
Those was my last stock up trip. It certainly would NOT have been enough for someone who had not prepared at all, but it was enough to top off everything I had and give us a few more weeks before going into the supplies.
Good thing too, because April first I got sick with what I am sure as Covid. I was sick as a dog but could still breathe and my lips weren’t turning blue so just treated myself through it.
Vacuum sealers rock.
Anyone who doesn’t have one and wants to freeze should get one. No freezer burn to deal with unless the bag gets punctured.
“ Sponge on a stick, hose in the backyard, neighbors cat.”

Look at this way, if you use the neighbor’s cat, maybe then the Haitians won’t eat them. 😂😂😂
Bidet master race checking in
LOL luddites
Typical NYC voter: “This is a disaster! The whole country is falling apart. I will, however, still vote for Harris.”
Sigh. 😒

Ironically, Biden could have, and still can, end the strike with the stroke of a pen. He chooses not to do so because he doesn’t want to piss off the unions before the election. So I sincerely hope the New York City runs out of toilet paper, so they can find out exactly what Democrats bring them.
That’s going to be a bit tough with winter coming.
I didn’t know it was made overseas.....................
= = =
So far it is cheaper than paper currency.
Our sealed meats (especially beef) lasted for YEARS :-)
i remember the great kung flu toilet paper shortage. It was so stupid. There was NO shortage of toilet paper. It was just packaged up for bulk deliveries through paper and janitorial supply houses. My shop is a few blocks away from a paper supply company and they had warehouses full of it they couldn’t get rid of. I got a huge case for wholesale.
Gargantua spoke well of the neck of a goose, but didn't like it when he tried a cat. Too scratchy.
My local costco was sold out of toilet paper yesterday but still had paper towels.
