Melania Trump has done her best to stay out of the spotlight throughout her husband’s presidential tenure and political career. Now, in a memoir titled Melania set to be published a month before election today, she has openly chosen a side in America’s abortion wars. The Guardian obtained a copy of the memoir, and published the former—and possibly future—First Lady’s pro-abortion declaration:
It is imperative to guarantee that women have autonomy in deciding their preference of having children, based on their own convictions, free from any intervention or pressure from the government. Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she does with her own body?
A woman’s fundamental right of individual liberty, to her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes. Restricting a woman’s right to choose whether to terminate an unwanted pregnancy is the same as denying her control over her own body. I have carried this belief with me throughout my entire adult life.

I just don’t know. I don’t believe Melania Trump is anti-life, and I’ve seen enough fakes for this to raise some serious doubts.
Way to throw a monkey wrench into things, Melania.
The left calls her dumb and trashy and she decides to kiss their ass.
Is it any wonder Repubs lose so much?
very demoralizing.
Thanks! :)
I don’t really argue about abortion.
I will always just point out to the liberal person who wants to argue that even a Lefty prosecutor will charge for TWO murders in the killing of a pregnant woman.
Shuts the progtards right up, every time.
I’ve shut down my neighbor the Democrat a few times with this.
Logic 101. The right to life is the sine qua non of every other issue.
We hold truths to be self evident…the right to life…. Followed by liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
well, I may agree with you; but when you determine exactly when human life begins and can prove it scientifically, perhaps you can convince those who, at this point, don’t agree with you.
I'm prolife and strongly disagree with her position on this.
That’s a very good point to make; but it refers to legality; not to the reality of when human life begins. It’s not going to stop women who want abortions.
That's one of my supporting points: "Where there's a will, there's a way".
This is why I don't argue about it.
The whole argument is a giant swamp, and the Lefties just LOVE to drag their opponents into the weeds.
I'm content to point out that the Big Government that they love charges for two murders or two killings.
Once they deny that there were two murders or killings, then you have them in the palm of your hand.
Had thought she was living her life according to the faith of her birth.
This book seems to indicate that during her entire adult life, she has utterly disagreed with Holy Mother Church on the question of abortion.
This disjunction is jarring. As is the presence of a newly public and prominent split on this issue between Melania (otherwise claiming to be Catholic, which now seems doubtful?) and DJT (who claims to be pro-life even though he, like Hannity, favors exceptions).
Agree. It’s become increasingly difficult to have conversations with people who see things differently. I like your reply though!
Rejecting the fact that life begins at conception is an act of the will, not the intellect. Science has unequivocally determined this fact.
Call it what you like; the point is that you can’t change another person’s ‘will’.
The perils of free will.
And you know this how?
