Howdy, luvie.
Still hovering around 90 or did it back off a little today?
Soggy and cool here today. 64 was the highest I saw on the thermometer this afternoon. Not quite ready for that as a high yet. LOL That’s perfect for nighttime temps.
Other than running up on a mountain of mail to go through, it sounds like a pretty good day. Extra sleep was a nice bonus!
The plant life is enjoying the great shower it’s been getting the past couple of days, I’m sure. They needed a good drink and weeks worth of dust is washed off at last.
There’s already some fresh green grass sprouting up. Champ will have his work cut out whenever it gets dry enough to mow.
RIP Aviation Machinist Mate 2nd Class Loyce Edward Deen
We had ribs for supper yesterday.
Yesterday at Comanche Lake:
How's everyone doing this morning?
I’ve been chasing a mouse and my back just said “no more”.
Yesterday I saw him go down the hall to the bedrooms and office. I thot they were gone except for an occasional one under the stairs by the garage door. I only had a couple baits upstairs and they hadn’t been touched. So I put several more up here.
Then this evening I see him coming down the hall and starting downstairs, but fairly slowly. So I found something to put over him if I could catch up. Down the first stairs and he goes down the second and waits to go under the door. I got down there, and who knows where he went, but when I look down the hall he is just sorta sitting there. As I get closer he goes into the cubby under the inside stairs. Any further following requires hands and knees, so I put a second bait there and hope he stays there, eats the bait, and expires. I’m hoping he’s slow because he has already dined on one of the baits. I’ll see if any have been moved in the morning.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
I’m shocked. Shocked I tell ya! Gizmo didn’t roll in his favorite smelly spots yesterday? LOL
Looks like he had a lot of fun any way.
And ribs for supper. Yum!
It’s starting to get cooler now and all the critters know winter is coming. They’re looking for warm places to settle into for the duration. Time to set out the blocks everywhere you did last winter and nip that mess in the bud. You don’t want a repeat of last winter.
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Those ribs look yummy. Gizmo looks like he enjoyed lots of water adventures at Comanche Lake.
You guys have a great Sunday.
Hey there, radu!
Sorry I missed your post last night. I watched a show and headed straight to bed to see if I could sleep. It sort of worked. LOL! The alarm was still painful.
It nearly got to 90...89. Can’t complain, though. Much better than 99!
I’ll bet you’ll be glad to see that ol’ sun again after so many soggy days. I’d love to have your high of 64. Sounds like heaven! Right now it’s 59 and feels lovely.
It was petty late when I popped back in last night and I figured you might have gone to bed.
Still pretty warm down there but better than AZ. They’re still getting triple digits. Ugh!
At least with your arid air, it’s not intolerable and it’s cooling down very nicely there at night. Good sleeping weather.
It broke 70 here today, barely, and the sun peeks out through holes in the clouds every once in a while. The storm is still sitting over KY and spinning light showers round and round and that’ll be the case through tomorrow, they say.
“September 27th is the Most Important Day in the Middle East Since the Abraham Accords [Trump’s Middle East Peace] Breakthrough” - Geller Report
But today, with the confirmed killing of Nasrallah and at least 16 top commanders eliminated in just nine days, was the first day I started thinking about a Middle East without Iran’s fully loaded arsenal aimed at Israel. So many more positive outcomes are possible.
This is a moment to stand behind the peace-seeking nation of Israel and the large portion of the Lebanese who have been plagued by Hezbollah and who want to return to the times when their country was thriving, and Beirut a cosmopolitan city. The main issue between Lebanon and Israel is Iran; otherwise there is a lot of benefit for the people of both countries from working together.
The right move now for America would be to tell Israel to finish the job. It’s long overdue. And it’s not only Israel’s fight.
More than 40 years ago, Hezbollah killed 241 US military personnel, including 220 Marines. That remains the single deadliest day for the U.S. Marine Corps since the Battle of Iwo Jima. Later that same day, Hezbollah killed 58 French paratroopers.
And now, over the past six weeks or so, Israel has eliminated as many terrorists on the US list of wanted terrorists as the US has done in the last 20 years. Including Ibrahim Aqil, the leader of Hezbollah’s Islamic Jihad Organization who masterminded the 1983 killing of those Marines.
We just lost power for about 12 hours. Most of our area has their electric now. We were just on the edge of the storm. There’s a lot of people that got hit a lot harder, and still don’t have electric.
