The editor-in-chief of the far-left "Mother Jones" publication declared on Friday that it was an example of "creeping Christian nationalism" when a flight attendant on an airline wished her and others to have a "blessed" evening.
Clara Jeffery, the EIC of the left-wing outlet, wrote about her apparent experience in a post: "Creeping Christian nationalism alert: Alaska Airlines flight attendant just wished us a 'blessed' night as we landed in SFO (!) to groans. Other adjectives that would have sufficed: great, awesome, fabulous, amazing, fantastic."
As of Saturday morning, the post had over 2 million views on X, with many, even those on the left, roundly criticizing the editor's remark about her apparent experience with the flight attendant.
In the replies, YIMBYs for Harris cofounder Armand Domalewski wrote "Respectfully, I’m a pretty left leaning guy and I wish folks a blessed day fairly often. It’s just a nice thing to say."
uh-huh... how does this leftist bigot know it was a “Christian” blessing and not a Wiccan one? (who also use the same language)
Mother Jones editor has been treated for anal blockage. Needed a colostomy.
It is more comforting than the pilot sticking his head out of the cockpit to say “Curse You All”.
In the replies, YIMBYs for Harris cofounder...
Have a blessed evening, except for you paranoid screwballs who are offended at everything. You have an evening from hell.
Just saw a photo of Clara....she needs all the blessings she can get.
Imagine being so full of hate for God that they cant stand hearing the word “blessed” I hear that term all the time, from our mail lady she wishes us a blessed day all the time.
Why can’t the door fly off and a certain passenger ever get sucked out of the cabin when it needs to?
give her an empty parachute sack at 30,000 feet and say goodbye
He’s racist
Clara sounds like a very fragile snowflake who needs to grow up. Does she see it as a sign of “Christian nationalism” if someone says “Bless you” or “Gesundheit” when someone sneezes? The word “blessed” is not even overtly Christian, nor is it in any way an expression of “nationalism.” This woman is simply a bigot with a death wish for Christians - in her mind, Christians should not even exist.
Well bless their heart.
The woman claims that there were “groans” from many on the plane upon hearing the word “blessed.” If true, that surprises me. “Blessed” is hardly a sermon, or a request that you turn to your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And I bet this bigot thinks that the Christian-mocking “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” and “Hunky Jesus” are just a hoot when thrust upon people during a parade.
What Is a YIMBY? (Hint: It’s Not Good)

[CONCLUSION]
To sum it up, YIMBYs started with a self-serving agenda: to force the production of more luxury housing that they could live in — no matter the consequences to working-class communities. To further their agenda, YIMBYs co-op housing justice messaging, but they’re not housing justice activists. In fact, they have a long, disturbing history of clashing with the housing justice movement. YIMBYs push pro-gentrification, trickle-down housing policies that generate obscene profits for Big Real Estate — and they’ve continually ignored the negative impacts of their policies on working-class residents. YIMBYs are not going away if politicians continue to support them. YIMBYs, put simply, are bad news.
I'm accusing her of 'Creeping Socialism'...emphasis on creep.
Most of the time when I hear people say have a blessed day, they are black. When you ask them how are they doing they say they are blessed. I wonder if the offending flight attendant was black.
And I accuse the editor “Mother Jones” of disgusting gender bias. It’s 2024, not 1924.
The name of the publication obviously should be “Parent Jones”.
Unbelievable. Wish we could ship all these commies to another planet...
In the article co-op should have been co-opt to actually make sense. People rely on spell check way too much. Many words are spelled correctly but are in the wrong context and spell checkers don’t tell you that.
