Between NATO East expansion and us lying about that, withdrawing from the Ballistic Missile Treaty, flagrant violation of the Conventional Forces Europe Treaty, constant attempts at violating Montreux, and trying to strip Iraq, Libya, Venezuela, and Syria from Russia (all Russian aligned and oil/gas producing nations), this is (((NOT))) a clear case where we are the good guys and the Russians are the bad guys.
We would NEVER accept what we are expecting Russia to accept: having a foreign power build bases and station troops, missiles, nukes, missile defense on our border. Unacceptable and unthinkable. Yes, I was aware of these weapons, non nuclear. The Avanguard is non nuclear but has destructive power of a nuke. Using them would be a game changer- Vlad still has a full toolbox.
In fact, anyone of his successors would no doubt use them thus ending the war in minutes. Should Vlad die, or be over thrown out by his many war hawks - there is no doubt Kiev ceases to exist….same same with Paris, Brussels, London- and without one nuke fired.

These organizations, like an organism, want to grow in budget, scope of powers, manpower, status.
You see this best in how they step on each others toes over who is responsible for what so that they can justify a budget and more senior schedule executives.
These organizations, if they even had a real mission statement to begin with (most members of these organizations never know what that is), lose their true purpose along the way.
You end up with a DOJ that no longer serves the public in promoting justice, a court system that is broke, government media which is a mere propaganda mechanism, education system which doesn’t educate well unless we’re talking about making kids into little social justice warriors, even NASA, etc...
All devolve over time into something which is simply serving itself and is disconnected from its actual purpose for existing.
