A federal judge has ruled that it would be unconstitutional for an Indiana prison to deny a transgender inmate sex reassignment surgery following the inmate's lawsuit against the facility.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sued the Indiana Department of Corrections last year on behalf of a transgender inmate, Jonathan C. Richardson, also known as Autumn Cordellionè, who was convicted of strangling his 11-month-old stepdaughter to death in 2001.
Indiana law, however, prohibits the Department of Corrections from using taxpayer dollars to fund sex reassignment surgeries for inmates. However, the ACLU argues in the lawsuit, filed on Aug. 28, 2023, that the law is a violation of the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition of "cruel and unusual punishment."

Just cut it off.
The power of the courts is insane. They’re forcing Starbucks to open three closed facilities, rehire the former staff and pay them 16 months back pay.
A family judge can just throw you in prison and keep you there.
Send him a Hezbollah beeper.
I’d cut off the stupid judge’s thingie.
Example of the latter, please
But they don’t have to stop stabbings, rapes, murders in prison. Priorities people. Always help the mentally ill and incarcerated experience a worse life.
I agree.
Sure would be a pity if he were to die on the table.
Judge Richard Young is a Clinton appointee. He struck down Indiana’s ban on same-sex marriage in 2014.
DemonRats love a good late term abortion.
“Sure would be a pity if he were to die on the table.”
How do you figure that? I think it would be a bigger pity if he survived.
And yet another reason why we are going to have to start just hauling them out into the street and shooting them.
There have been others but that is the name that sprung to mind.
Just let Johnny into general population. When his fellow prisoners find out how perverted he is they’ll take care of the surgery.
Yeah, the judicial branch has always felt way too powerful. They can decide what the Constitution says. A law can plain as day say one thing but a judge can just be like “nah, it doesn’t mean that.”
I’m sure the other inmates would be willing to accommodate him free of charge.
Send the bill to the judge first , no money no surgery
Make the judge enforce it. He better bring the military.
How about just whack his balls off with pruning shears and let him sort out the rest of it?
